Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Ogden

(UPDATE-ALL HAS CHANGED FOR THE BETTER THIS YEAR! Thank You! 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽) This is my first bad review and I feel bad but hopefully it will help make a change! I have Celiac Disease and have been eating Chipotle's weekly for over 20 years now bc it is one of the ONLY places that I am able to eat. This is the 4th time at this new store near me. I was VERY excited about it, but it has not been a good experience all the times I have went. 1. Every time I have went there, they are OUT of the food! Esp, the RICE. You can't have a Chipotle rice bowl without rice so I had to leave. They did not seem to know what to do, they just say sorry. This was right before the rush... I can't imagine the people behind me and how they handled that. 2. I have not seen a Manager there running the show. 3. The young staff is not very well-trained. They really need to speed it up a lot and provide larger portions for the price. They did not know about Gluten and Dairy contamination. If this store could get a good Manager and have back up food prepared, we would be eating there twice a week. Until then, I will continue to drive to the Riverdale store. Be my stepdad and fiancé have all never had chipotle before & I’ve always heard good things about it & was very excited. Everything all tasted like one thing And had no individual flavors of anything, It Was absolutely unedible. And the worst part of the whole thing was all three of us got absolutely sick with upset stomachs. It was very disappointing, especially with it being all of our first time . We will never return again sadly. My stepdad got the honey chicken bowl. I got a regular chicken bowl and my fiancé got a honey chicken and steak burrito . I only took about six bites of my food and couldn’t eat any anymore of it. My stepdad ate about eight bites of his food before he couldn’t do it anymore because it all blended together also and just the same flavors so really didn’t couldn’t taste anything And then my fiancé’s burrito was absolutely so spicy That made it just not good. And the hype about how big their burritos are that absolutely showed that that was never true because that burrito was nothing. It was like half the size of a battle burrito.. we...

I think this place is just understaffed. You can literally feel the stress pouring off the guy with the beard. He’s running around doing everything while the other employees look sort of helpless and lost. He’s handling the food, taking the orders, and today I’m standing there for like five minutes while he’s running around, waiting for my order to be taken. I felt so strange standing there. Well, this poor guy is running around, scraping the grill, pouring the beans, adding ingredients to things… I just left. Maybe because I had a black T-shirt on… Maybe he thought I worked there and I was just standing around like everyone else lol. My fear is it the one star will reflect poorly on the one individual doing everything, when really I think he’s just stuck in a whirlwind of responsibility without much help.
