Horrible service horrible food DO NOT EAT HERE! I came during a non peak hour at 11:00 ish on a Friday. When were seated there were only 5 couples seated, one of which had their food already. There were two waitresses for the five tables. We had the waitress with the short dark wavy hair(receipt said Noah). We ordered coffee and did not get a refill on the coffee until the end of the meal. The waitress was extremely inattentive and spent most of her time in the back laughing with the other waitress loudly about a song she liked. She did not even attempt to look over at our table. I had to stand up and find her three times to get her attention, once to ask for silverware, another time to ask for my side that was not brought, the last to get the check. When her and the other waitress brought our food, parts of it were missing like the sides of fries. She placed part of our meal on the table next to us and never came back so we had to get it ourselves. By the time we asked for the fries and they were brought to us we had already finished the meal. The food was flavorless and the chicken sandwich specifically was burnt (overly fried). When we asked for the manager she took an extremely long amount of time to come to the table. We had to walk to the back of the restaurant to find someone to take our payment. I understand bad service can be expected on a busy day and I’m usually very patient but this was not the case. The day was slow and there was no reason for the bad service. The whole experience from the food, to the service and the cost was extremely horrible. Save yourself the time, there are several other breakfast diners in the same street: black bear and Dennys and I wish I would’ve gone to either of them. I will never ever return to this...
Read moreBefore I start this review, I want to note that I have been in the serving/fast food restaurant for 29 years. I haven't been here for a few years, but had previously never had a bad experience. I talked my son into going to IHOP instead of Dennys because I have always loved the atmosphere and food here. However, our experience there today was extremely disappointing. Our server was new and had not had enough training. She didnt ever come back to check on us, we had to wave her down. We had to ask for cholula 3 times and for marinara sauce twice before we got it, she had given the table next to ours their condiments right after they asked for them. We ordered the sampler and the chicken strips and onion rings were burnt (we were told that thats what happens when the oil hasnt been changed in the fryer for two days), which I know better than that. We asked for the chicken strips to be remade, which we never did receive but were generously given a 10% discount for. I ordered the pot roast and my son ordered a burger. He loved his burger, but it was served with only a tiny amount of fries. My plate, however, only had a tiny amount of food on it. So I asked another server if it was the senior plate amount which was 12.99 or the regular dinner amount that was 17.99. I was then told that whether it's the senior or regular dinner entree, they both come with the same amount, which doesn't seem right when there is a $5.00 price difference. Needless to say, I lost my appetite after trying the broccoli that was undercooked and we were tired of being ignored by our server, so I had them take to pot roast off, we paid and left. I'm sad because IHOP on 12th street has always been my favorite. We might try it again in the future, but it won't be...
Read moreWorst iHop ever. We come in, the floors are filthy. Plates everywhere, the employees weren't doing anything to clean the place up, instead they were having what appeared to be a social day. Eating, laughing and sitting. Great right? If you were a customer and not getting paid to be there. I order my food, and wait about 15 minutes. I then hear the waitress telling the cook "she wants the bacon and sauce on the side.." he goes "really?! Why??.." I guess he forgot everyone could hear him complaining about making an order he is getting paid to make. I wouldn't have been upset if I was getting this meal for free, but I was going to be paying and expected my order to meet my expectations and quality just like iHop advertises. Another 20 minutes goes by, she brings out my food. The chicken looks nothing like on the menu, the cheese is cold. She then brings out my husband's plate, French fries are still frozen, I asked her to touch them and she says she cant, walks away and casually says "hey David their fries are cold.." like NO David, these French fries still have ice on them, they are not just COLD, they are FROZEN. David needs to learn how to do his job, that he is getting paid to do without complaining in front of customers. If I really wanted a frozen meal I could have just grabbed a frozen meal from the frozen section and served it on a plate without having to have waste an hour of my time. IHop needs to hire people that are wanting to work and bring in customers rather than having them leave because of the awful customer service these people...
