Ivan's Ice Cream & Snowies — Restaurant in Ogden

So fun, bright and friendly! This restaurant is inside of another one on Washington Blvd in Ogden.

Best elotes!! I went there because I tried them at a farmers market. It looked like an ice cream truck for the kids but when I got closer I saw the menu for Mexican food and tried some. I was thrilled to learn they had a permanent location too.

They also sell ice cream and popsicles. Not a ton of flavors on the ice cream and mostly regular type popsicles for kids. But they have a few real fruit ones. Just not the kind they make there.

You can get elojtes with crushed Yaki or hot Cheetos instead of mayo and cheese. Also the corn in a cup.

I also got a cup of fruit and it has cucumber spears. I got it without chili because I like the taste of it by itself. But it has fresh pineapple, watermelon, cantalope and I think honeydew. Easy to eat and pretty good!

Can't wait to go again and try more.

We asked for a little more peanuts on our tostilocos because we only had 3 in there. The lady told us that peanuts are very expensive so that’s why she only puts about 5 in them and said that if we wanted more peanuts she is going to charge us. It didn’t even have at least the 5. They were overall very badly prepared and her tone and response were not kind. Sadly, we ended up leaving very disappointed. I get things aren’t cheap nowadays, but we also paid so much for those tostilocos too… so it’s only right to prepare them the way they should be prepared. We paid $20 for 3 items. One being a Mexican corn on the cob that was not prepared well either. I could see the corn cause she didn’t put enough mayo and cheese on it. I’ll have to give this place 1 star due to the items not being done well, the prices being excessive, and the customer service not being kind and...

Hola. No hablo espanol. I am white. But I still feel welcome in this place! It is wonderful! Here they see no color no matter how white you are! Bien bien! Today I got a snow cone with vanilla ice cream and even a nice little swirl of caramel on top. Muy delicioso! I sometimes get the fresas con crema (strawberries and cream for my non Spanish speakers out there) and it is great! Puts a smile on my face every time!
