Ogden, UT June 2022 PARKING: The safety bar to enter into the parking garage was BROKEN. Anyone has access to the parking garage which is SMALL and it is hard to find parking. No safe at all. The top garage is open to anyone. Pretty much it doesn't matter if you are a guest or the hotel or not. They do have a second level but again is not safe. My teammates were upset as well. It was fixed during the week but again not working. HOTEL : It is downtown so as many downtown hotels is a little outdated. WIFI : Horrible. It said "Fast" but it wasn't. I really struggled to handle work tasks RESTAURANT: Great chef! Amazing food! Pricey but hey...it is an Hilton POOL : Only indoor. No outdoor STAFF: Except for one lady at the front desk...let me tell you : Deseree is EXTRAORDINARY! I would give 5 stars to this Hilton just because of her. There is a new guy at the front desk and he is super nice! He would go above and beyond to help you! There is a lady which is pregnant and a girl with glasses...both so friendly! Great staff! Even the cleaning ladies were nice :) and if you speak Spanish...you make their day ❤️ LOCATION : Perfect. Central and close to everything. You can walk downtown, to the park, to various activities and even driving you are still close to everything. Loved the location! AC : it wasn't working well. One of my co workers had the same problem and after changing room he said the AC was not working properly. The couple that works with us had the same issue ....but again AMAZING STAFF!!!!! FLOOR PLAN : I asked and called in advance for a room near the elevator...and I didn't get one. That was upsetting. The walls are thin and I could hear everything from upstairs...It was so terrible that one day I knocked with my selfie stick the wall above because people do not realize the walls are too thin and...
Read morePicked up a room here last weekend for my wife and I's anniversary as an easy way to sort of "get away" during a pandemic. We only did the one night and grabbed one of the Junior suites they had available. I really liked the room, there was a little fireplace in there that was great for a romantic evening and there is plenty in the area for meal options, though we considered eating in the hotel restaurant with how good their food looked.
Bathroom was very large with a tub that looked like it needed another once over from the staff as far as cleaning goes. My wife was a little put off by how haphazard the counter in the bathroom looked but a quick wipe down took care of it. There is a microwave and a little mini fridge in the room as well, with the fridge having just enough space to hold a few drinks for the evening and the microwave big enough to reheat leftovers.
The only real disappointment we had with the place was the bed. It wasn't particularly comfortable and it was a bit on the rickety side. Every little movement in the night had me wondering "is this it? is this when this thing collapses?" Which might be minor for some, but for a couple on their anniversary it's a tad more relevant of a concern. Luckily, the couch in the room had a fold out bed and we were able to use that near the fire, which ended up being pretty nice. But there's no reason why a fold out bed should be the more comfortable option. I've seen other reviews making mention of the beds as well so this seems like something they might want to look at.
But overall, we had a great stay. Staff was nice, service was prompt, place was mostly clean with just the above mentioned nitpicks, and we had a much needed...
Read morestayed here for my wedding weekend September 12th-14th and everything was absolutely perfect. I had the suite, and it was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully prepared for the occasion.
Special shoutout to Will Stevens (GM) for truly taking care of me and my close friends who stayed at the hotel. He allowed us to check in early and made sure the suite was set up perfectly. I wish I could’ve shaken your hand before leaving, Will—you went above and beyond for me and my family.
A huge thank you also to Lydia from sales for setting up a wedding block for our guests and even providing a complimentary night for me since I was getting married. That gesture meant the world. All my guests said the rooms were super clean and affordable!
Another shoutout goes to Marshae from the night staff, I think that’s her name, who surprised my wife and me with a thoughtful goodie bag after our wedding. It was such a personal and kind touch. She even got me to sign up for the Hilton rewards program.
And finally, during checkout, Celina (Sunday morning) I think that’s her name. was amazing—so warm, kind, and full of positive energy. She made us feel loved, welcomed, and celebrated. I had a question regarding my bill and she fixed it quick and she provided proof of receipt as well! Again amazing staff.
Every single staff member I encountered treated me like royalty, and for that, I am beyond grateful. Thank you all for making one of the most important weekends of my life feel even more special. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for not just a stay, but a truly memorable experience. Shout out to the Hilton Inn in Ogden! All love from...
