I have to give this place such a poor rating because we have really enjoyed staying at Hamptons in the past but this particular location is just a nightmare. Our biggest complaint is the parking situation. You have to park about a block away around the corner and down the street in a cramped parking garage. If the small garage is full (which it was and we had to make like a 20 point turn to get back outo it was so cramped) then you have to drive back around the block to the hotel to get a card to allow you to park in the neighboring garage but you have to park on the 3rd or 4th floor and then walk the full length of the garage floors to get back down with no easy shortcut or staircase to save you from doing so. They do have a valet you can use but it's like $12/day which sounded high at first but by the time you actually experience the hassle of parking I would do it in a heartbeat! It took us 33 minutes to park by the time we tried the small parking garage, drive back to the hotel and got the pass, then about 5 minutes to figure out which garage we could even use the pass in because there weren't any other instructions besides that we needed to park on the 3rd or 4th floor and there's 3 different entrances to choose from with only 1 that allows you to go all the way up. And then walk back to the hotel to return the pass they give you (it's $30 if you forget to return it). All and all that's our biggest complaint. The staff is friendly but they seem a little undertrained and understaffed as we had to wait about 15-20 minutes each time we had to talk to the desk to get the parking passes or to check in as there was always 2-3 other people in line doing the same thing and the phones were ringing off the hook so the attendants had to answer in between everything making it take even longer to get through the line. The rooms were nice and had comfortable beds. The hotel must have been renovated at some point because everything looks pretty new and up-to-date. We thought it was cool breakfast is open from 6-10am and they had a 24 hour fitness center and a hot tub that is open until 12am. One other cool thing is they have a cool little Christmas display right near the parking garage that you can go walk through if your staying around Christmas time.

My wife and I were very, very disappointed with our stay here this past week. The hotel was full as there was a retreat there which my wife attended. First, the bathtub had active black mold and mildew growing in several areas of the grout. Not trusting that a maid would properly clean it, I went out and bought cleaner to kill the bacteria and a brush to scrub away the dead mold. Then, room cleaning was every other day. On that day, the maid came to our door and just handed me towels. I told her I was leaving. When I returned, the empty toilet paper had not been changed, the bar of soap just opened was gone from the bathroom sink with no replacement left, the toilet seats were left up/open, the coffee pods used were not replaced. The room air conditioning wasn’t working well so the room was constantly very (too) warm. There was no paper pad or pens in the room to leave messages. Then, I went to the desk and told them that the elevator at the garage where they had us parked was broken; stuck on the 4th floor. The response was, “Well that’s not our elevator.” As a Hilton Honors member I expected better of the hotel, and the cleanliness. It would behoove the manager to start looking at rooms after being cleaned snd readied for new guests. The mold issue just didn’t pop up overnight, it was ignored by cleaning staff. The positive side is that this hotel is located in an area with many restaurants and some interesting historical areas, all within walking distances. May 15, 2024 Update: before we left for home, my wife asked to speak with the hotel manager. The desk attendant assured my wife she would get a call back to discuss the issues with the room. It is now one month, to the day later, when we departed and still no call. Demonstrates to me their lack of interest with listening and correcting any issues; or perhaps any misconception on my part.

Awful night. I got us a room Hampton Inn in Ogden, UT for $200/night (including taxes and pet fee). I’m so disappointed in this place. I’m Traveling w my mom hoping to give her a great experience during our trip from Montana to Arizona and this place was a BUST! I called them before booking to make sure they were pet friendly. Well, I guess that doesn’t mean a relief/potty area for pups anywhere close by. After having a hard time finding the entrance, I asked the front desk girl as we checked in where we should unload. Anyone giving good customer service would say unload now as it’s a separate structure or you’ll have to haul your luggage around the block which is what we had to do. There is only a 1 maybe 2 car parking for unloading/unloading, that we found on our own after. Walking from the parking garage to the hotel doesn’t feel safe at night or early morning hours. The street in front the hotel is used for street racing, very loud cars/trucks up and down the street ALL night long!!! If you are planning on getting any rest, you will not get that here. Are cars allowed to street race in this town??? The room was ok, but they didn't bother to finish making the bed, a pillow was missing, and the case was thrown on the bed. The floors didn't appear to have been clean. $200 paid would have been better off sleeping at a rest area by the freeway. That bad.

When we first arrived parking was tricky and actually more of joke than anything. And be prepared to pay $5 for parking every time you park. I didn’t pay attention when booking my room and was surprised to see parking charges on my final bill.

The hotel appeared nice when we first arrived. We did the online check in so it was quick and painless. The lobby area was nice and well maintained. The staff at the front desk were decent m. Not overly friendly but not rude either. They informed us they had pre packaged breakfast in the morning. And informed us that the security patrol of the parking garage likes to give out tickets so make sure if we move our car that we get another slip from them. Which by the way costs $5. So luckily we didn’t move our car much at all and just walked everywhere.

We were on the 7th floor and it smelled like stale cigarettes mixed with air freshener and cheap cologne.

Upon entering our room it appeared nice and comfortable. We had the 1 bedroom king suite. It isn’t exactly a 1 bedroom. More like a very large room with a small kitchen area in the middle. There is no complete wall with a door separating the rooms. So if you are looking for actual separate spaces this room is not it.

The more we looked around and the more stuff we tried to use the more we realized how looks can be deceiving. The couch cushions were ripping at the seams. On one of the cushions the side seam rip was at least 8”.

The dresser in the “bedroom” was slanted forward and the drawers wouldn’t stay shut. I had to shimmy stuff under the front of the dresser in order to get the drawers to stay closed.

The fan in the bathroom didn’t work. And it felt like a sauna in there after just 1 shower. And the additional mirror on the wall was in need of some repair. I pulled it out to use it and it was so unsteady I thought it was going to fall off of the wall. I told the kids to make sure they don’t touch it for fear it would break.

The kitchen area did have some dishes but not what I would consider a decent set. There were 3 plates, 3 coffee cups, 2 water glasses, 1 champagne glass, a couple of forks and no spoons. It was obvious that things weren’t replaced as needed. And there was nothing to clean then with.

The mattress on the pull out couch was atrocious even the kids complained about it being uncomfortable which is way out of the norm for them. They provided 2 people’s in room but. I additional Val let. So when we pulled the bed out it only had a sheet. We requested a blanket from the fro t desk but it never came. So at 11:30 at night we went downstairs and got one our selves.

The mattress in the “bedroom” although was not as uncomfortable as the pull out but it still was nothing great to write home about. I woke up throughout the night having to adjust my sleeping position and in the morning I was so stiff it was ridiculous. And to top it off I had to fix the fitted sheet at least 2 times a night because I am pretty sure they were trying to fit a Queen sheet on a king mattress.

The elevators were not only small they were by far the slowest elevators I have ever used. 1 of the 2 seemed like it was rarely in operation. Of the 3 days we were there I only saw it in use once. And the one that was being used continuously had a very strange odor in it.

There is a jacuzzi/whirlpool not an actual pool. It was nice but the jets didn’t work in one side of it. And make sure you take towels with you, they do not provide any pool towels.

We went down for Breakfast Saturday morning. It consisted of nutri grain bars, hard boiled eggs, muffins, cram cheese packets, bagels, apple juice and orange juice and some fresh fruit. Sunday we went down just after 9 and all they had was juice nothing else which was disappointing.

And finally check out is at 12 PM but they were knocking on our door at 9 am.

So with all of that I do not see us ever staying here again if we are in the area. And I most definitely would not recommend it to friend.

The only positive thing is the location. It is within walking distance to a lot of...

This was hands down the worst experience we've ever had at a hotel. First not having a parking lot or garage and having to risk leaving your vehicle downtown was worrisome. But then to enter their tiny elevator that barely fit a family of four let alone anyone else and it jerked and shook all the way up and down and felt really unsafe. Then we observed that this hotel is very out dated and dirty. It smelled muggy and gross. We get to our room and it was located on the inside of the hotel that overlooked the metal framing inside of the hotel. Windows are old and outdated and the paint is chipping which is concerning if these windows have lead paint. Our room was outdated and gross. The worst Hampton we've ever been in. The carpet was very old and very dirty. It just didn't feel clean or smell clean. So that evening when I was washing my face I guess it would come to no surprise that the folded towel I went to use to dry my face had what appeared to be a bloody booger in it. I was appalled and went down to the lobby and demanded clean towels. They claimed laundry wasn't done like it should have been and they said should be done in the morning. Unacceptable! But that is not the worst of our experience. The next day we were getting ready to head out to our event that brought us to Ogden in the first place and my two year old holds out his hand and says what is this and I look and he had found a pill of some sort in and around our hotel floor. It was not ours. I don't think you can understand how this was a life altering experience for us and if he had not handed it over asking what it was and had ate it we could have lost our child that day not knowing why. Once again I went to the lobby and spoke to the woman the front desk. I understand it wasnt her fault and I expressed my issue wasnt with her necessarily but that this is unacceptable. She expressed that she couldnt do anything because she didnt have a manager until Monday and that I would be contacted and as of Tuesday 4/8/25 6:00pm not a phone call has been made to me as promised. The cleaning lady did show up and I had her vacuum and clean the bathroom and the crazy thing is I watched her clean the bathroom but it again didnt smell like it got cleaned or if what she was using was even cleaner at all and had no smell which was odd. This is hands down the worst hotel we've ever stayed at and we've stayed at alot of places. This also for being a Hampton is the worst Hampton and...
