First, you should take the overall rating of this place with a grain of salt since there are a lot of dumb bad reviews on here. A quick scan shows two reviews of this variety "No ramen takeout - 1 star" and one review of this variety "Didn't like their hours, never ate the food - 2 stars". I could comment on the relative intelligence of such people, but I think their words are sufficient to that point. I first visited Ramen Haus several weeks ago with my boyfriend, having been regulars for quite some time at the famous Tosh's Ramen in SLC. With only Hanamaru in Ogden serving ramen for approximately 5 minutes at 11AM on Saturday mornings and the drive to Tosh's being so prohibitive, we were eager to try this place. Ramen Haus does not disappoint. We started with the Lollipop Chicken, similar to Tosh's Tokyo Wings, and they were excellent, perfectly cooked, and I would have licked the sauce off the plate were it not for common decency. We had the beef buns too and they were very flavorful. For the main course my boyfriend ordered curry udon and I got the pork ramen with some add-ins (including bacon). We both ordered extra meat, as usual. The curry udon was incredibly good. The broth was packed with flavor, the meat was tender and delicious, and the noodles were cooked to absolute perfection. If you want curry udon look no further. We had the matcha shortcake for dessert and it was excellent, and that's coming from the world's biggest cake snob. My ramen was quite good. It had plenty of noodles, also cooked to perfection, the egg was wonderful, and they did me the enormous favor of breaking up the chashu (pork) for me so I didn't have to sit for 5 minutes doing it myself. The broth was good, but if they added more pork fat to it, it would be on par with Tosh's, and now that I've typed this here it will probably be made so very soon for the following reason. I'd say the most incredible thing about this restaurant, aside from bringing ramen to Ogden, is how on top of their game the owners are. When we were finished eating one of the co-owners Shani, who you see replying to reviews on here and Yelp, came to ask our feedback on the food. First, I have never before been asked by a restaurant owner explicitly for suggestions on their food. As a foodie, phenomenal cook, and budding food blogger, what a novel concept to actually ask for real feedback. We gave her our thoughts, she thanked us, and explained the various changes they've made to the ramen since the restaurant first opened in response to feedback and reviews. Whoa, a restaurant actually significantly modifying recipes in response to reviews, huge kudos. These people clearly care about their food and want this place to shine. What was even more impressive is that we recognized Shani from Tosh's Ramen, the blond girl with impeccable fashion sense we saw several times serving ramen, and SHE RECOGNIZED US. Mind blown. We've been to Tosh's no more than 5 times total, maybe 3 times when she was actually working, and Shani recognized us. We were beyond surprised. If you want to be a regular at a restaurant, this is the place haha! So, in summary, the food here is awesome and we will be returning many times. I am so grateful to Ramen Haus for bringing good ramen to Ogden so I don't have to drive two hours (or pitch a tent in front of Hanamaru) to get it. The owners here care a lot about this restaurant and their food, and that is so good to see. Good job guys!

A Mixed Experience at Ramen Haus: Our visit to Ramen Haus was a bit of a roller coaster, but thankfully, the friendliness of our server Jenna managed to balance out some of the restaurant's shortcomings. Upon arrival, the absence of a greeter at the entrance led to some initial confusion. A staff member finally directed us back to the entrance after we had already walked in, an awkward beginning to our meal. The rest of the staff, besides Joe, seemed generally grumpy and not overly welcoming. Adding to the atmosphere was the hustle and bustle of the busy dining space, amplified by its very loud ambiance. Unfortunately, the broken air conditioner did little to alleviate the heat, and an abundance of flies contributed to an already challenging experience. Onto the food. We tried their famed Bomb Ramen, along with octopus balls and fries. While none of these dishes were bad per se, they failed to wow us. The ramen was good but not exceptional, and the octopus balls and fries similarly left us unimpressed. The cleanliness—or lack thereof—of the establishment was another drawback. A sticky table and dirty floors detracted from what could have otherwise been a more pleasant dining setting. That said, Jenna, our server, was the bright spot in our visit. Despite being forgetful at times, her cheerful and friendly demeanor made the experience more tolerable, earning Ramen Haus an extra star in our review. While the restaurant has room for improvement, it's not without its merits. However, for now, it leaves us hesitant about returning.

This place is fantastic! The taro fries are amazing! They have a little different texture than regular fries, but the taste is similar. The "fry sauce" they use is also super good! It has a little kick to it too! The gyoza were so good! My kids wishes we had gotten more! The curry udon is Awesome! Naturally, you should expect more if a Japanese curry taste to it than say Thai or Indian. The tonkotsu ramen is absolutely delicious! The broth has this deep, rich flavor you can tell it's taken hours to extract out of pork bones! Also, the egg in the broth is soft boiled which made me very happy! I've had lots of ramen where the egg yolk is not only solid, but way overcooked and gray! The pork belly is really really good! They have famine and mocktails that are so good! We had the Asian pear and it was such an awesome pear soda! Unlike anything we'd had before!! Finally, the Honey Toast is awesome too! That was a first for me! It looks like a glad of a loaf of bread but with the texture of angel good cake, and the flavor slightly reminiscent of French toast. It was so good! As for the service, our server, Emily, was super helpful! She was attentive to us and super helpful with our kids (bringing them a few ice cubes for their ramen, cups with lids, silverware, spare plates, recognizing those plates weren't the cleanest and bringing us new ones!) She was top notch! I'll definitely be back!

First off let me start by saying I hate leaving bad reviews. We came in at 7:20pm which was right towards the end of their rush, we expected a wait knowing it was Friday night, we were told it would be an 20-25 mins. We sat and waited to be seated for and hour and 5 mins, finally got seated sat at the table and waited 35 mins to even be greeted by our server. While all this was happening a couple had come into the restaurant and got seated almost immediately after they walked in and got helped by the server right away while we were still patiently waiting. The host came over and asked if we had been helped yet at about 25 mins after being seated and said he'd get someone right over and they came 10 mins later took our order and didn't ask about drink so I asked can we get 3 waters and she said they didn't have any cups available right now and that when they came available she would bring them out. We were very thirsty due to how hot and humid it is inside the restaurant it was cooler outside in 90 degree weather. Another couple was sat next to us about 15 mins into waiting for our server and they got their waters long before we did. The food came out and the meat was very good but the noodles were extremely over cooked and we still didn't have our waters I asked our sever again and she said oh they should have been out already ten mins later we got them. We asked the server for a fork for our son and she said we are waiting for some to be washed and she would bring one out when washed and we never got one. The sever said while we were waiting for our food that she is sorry and that she would definitely discount our check, We ate our food and finished then waited another 25 mins till they got our check and of course it was not discounted at all so when she handed it to us I was visibly frustrated, so she asked if I'm ok and I didn't want to spend another minute so I didn't say anything and she said are you sure you seem uneasy I told her it's fine. And we finally got out of there by this time it was 10:20pm so over three olhours for bad service and very Subpar food. Wouldn't...

I've been eagerly awaiting this place to open after seeing it under renovation while going to the bars next door.

Today was the first time I was able to stop in and I took my 9 year old son with me as well. Reading reviews beforehand, I was hesitant about what the wait staff would be like.

We stopped in just after opening on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated immediately and within minutes had water brought to us as well as our orders taken. I ordered the Assorted Pickles as an appetizer and my son and I both got the Beef Ramen.

If anything, the wait staff was too attentive, coming over more often than needed to check on us, but I'm sure a lot of that has to do with the reviews they've been given. This was not a bother and I continued to just give them a thumbs up as we chowed down.

While I eat a lot for my size, I tend to eat small amounts throughout the day, and it's very rare that I will ever finish a dish at a restaurant, always bringing home leftovers. Today, I finished the entire bowl of ramen.

I'm sure that the service may not be as good when they are extremely busy (I'd say the occupancy was a little less than what I'd expect as average while we were there), but we had no issues whatsoever. The food was delicious, and though Tosh's Ramen in SLC has a little more flavor to their dishes, I'm extremely happy to have a wonderful ramen place much closer to me than SLC.

There seem to be a few unhappy reviews, which happens from time to time, but there are also quite a few 1 star reviews from people that never even stepped foot in the place. My son and I will definitely be returning in the future and I encourage anyone else to stop in as well.

The only thing I wish was different was a late night hour at which I could stop by after kicking back a few too many drinks...
