We were very excited to try out Red Fort Indian cuisine, and I must say, it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the aroma of the delicious spices that filled the air. The cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant did not go unnoticed, creating a welcoming and inviting ambiance. The staff deserves special recognition for their warm greetings and attentive service throughout our entire dining experience. Our server, Garry, was particularly outstanding with his knowledge of the menu items and recommendations for delightful entrees and substitutes. Despite coming in a group of six, our food arrived promptly without any delays. Each of us ordered something different from the menu, and I must say that my Chicken Tikka was an absolutely delicious. Served on a sizzling platter, the dish was bursting with flavors, allowing us to savor the richness of the spices used. The portion size was generous, offering great value for the price paid. Garry gave us exceptional service, ensuring that our drinks were always filled, and that our food met our expectations. His professionalism and attention to detail truly enhanced our overall dining experience. I hope that this restaurant continues to prosper and thrive, as the area could greatly benefit from having more establishments offering authentic Indian cuisine of such good quality. We will definitely be returning patrons and will be recommending your restaurant to our friends and family.

We will start with the atmosphere: The booth that they put me in was a two person booth along the wall, and it was so narrow on one side that there wasn’t even space from the elbow to my wrist. That’s how close the table was to the backrest of the booth. Meanwhile, they had construction going during the entire course of the meal and not just cutting a board here or there, it was 50% silence and 50% circular saw. I ate my food as quickly as I could because I just cannot stand loud sounds during my dinner. Video attached. The service: Earns one additional star because it was quick. However, I watched my waitress walk by me several times and then pour water for a couple that arrived after me and take their order in front of me as well. I assume the manager stopped by and asked me for my order . Then about five minutes later after I had no menu, she stopped and asked me what I would like to eat. I think she was new, but it is what it is, poor service. The food: This would get five stars because the tikka chicken masala was really good and the portions were very large. However, their water tastes so bad. It’s tap for sure and it wasn’t pleasant. I had to get a different drink to avoid it. Lastly, my garlic naan bread had a powder residue on it, which I could only assume was the garlic powder. Bottom line, it’s not as good as the one down south and I would wait a couple of weeks while the construction INSIDE the restaurant is ongoing.

If u like Indian food, u will like this place. Pricey (u know $5 for two pieces of garlic Naan, $5 for specialty drinks like Lassi, $15-$20 a plate) but it seems all restaurants r these days. The Naan is served family style (3 people ordered and they were all placed in a basket in the center of the table) - so it may throw u off if in a group as u won’t get “yours” served to u individually. The dishes are easily shareable and the rice, which comes with the meal, is also served family style. Butter chicken or lamb is always a favorite - I get medium heat but my friend who likes it HOT đŸ„” got Very Hot and said next time he’ll get Very Very Hot 😆. I like my Lassi tangy vs sweet so they had to make it separate and served me the sweet one first. It was thin, I like it thicker, but good flavor once they made it unsweetened. And they do Rose Lassi, which is sometimes hard to find. But, the place smells musty, almost like stale beer, and it was warm - maybe the AC wasn’t working (it’s summer). Tons of parking - but only two (women’s)toilets, which seemed small for the size of the restaurant. Server was patient and helped each person with deciding on their choices. He also split the check as requested, pay at the table style. The supporting staff were hit or miss with requests like boxes - which came three requests later or limes for the water (no lemons) - which never came.

Red Fort is the perfect dinner place for any occasion, whether it be an outing with friends, a date night, or a relaxing dinner with family. If you've loved the Layton location, you will adore their Ogden location just as much. The food, no matter the location, still brings a beautiful aroma to your senses, the scent of spices perfectly paired with the taste of undeniable deliciousness is an experience you can't help but continue going back for. Each item on the menu is sure to arouse your tastebuds, whether it be some mouthwatering curry, some freshly baked naan, or the sweet taste of lassi. You could never get sick of any one thing on the menu, but that's not to say you shouldn't try everything! When it comes to service, you'll be taken care of as if you've been a close friend for years. Each genuine smile you get is full of care and willingness to make sure your experience is the best. If you ever get served by Garry, know you'll have an enchanting meal, and will be taken care of with much understanding and care. And even so, any and all servers you're greeted with will have the same devotion and kindness you expect of a 5 star restaurant. The combination of such lovely and overwhelmingly kind service paired with the unforgettable taste of food you've only ever dreamed of is sure to give you a memory you will always cherish.

I've been a loyal customer to Red Fort, and for good reason! If you're looking for a delicious experience you will always remember, your first choice should...
