🚏Ogden’s Historic 25th Street is one of the most beautifully quaint, well-preserved streets I’ve frequented - the loveliest in the state of Utah, in the case of historic streets. Since moving to Ogden in early 2014, I’ve witnessed a dramatic and progressive shift towards preservation and livening up this area. Currently, there is a thriving art district which surrounds 25th, along with the new adjacent electric bus system, Main Depot, being completed this year (2023). Read moreIt has seen better days. Many stores were unoccupied and only very few restaurants were open on a Sunday afternoon. The buildings were in decent condition, but not very interesting. Several share e-scooters were left in the middle of the sidewalk making quite an eyesore. There was only one homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk along with a couple of drunks, so that wasn’t too bad. If the museum across the street was open, then it maybe worth a while just to stroll down the street, otherwise it’s probably not worth your time. Unlike too much of Utah where any building more than 50 years old is torn down for a mid rise box Ogden has most of their late 19th and early 20th century buildings still around. Great trails for road biking along the rivers, dedicated bike lanes, reasonable places to eat. Have an iced tea and egg burrito at Grounds for Coffee close to the eye candy train station.
