The journey began when we walked in the door. Captivated by the knick-knacks of old timey coke bottles and the related memorabilia. We were greeted by a seemingly stressed and over worked hostess. Still examining their collection of various items. We waited for maybe a 4 minute period before we got seated. From there another employee asked for our drink orders and promptly served us. A little time went buy and someone else came by and asked for our order. The waiting game began, not exactly for us though. We witnessed on multiple counts the disorganization of the entire wait staff. Seating was continuous and the orders were being taken inconsistently. We had a large family behind us that were seated right after us. They got their drinks at the same time as we did, and that's where it stopped with the similarities. We had our order taken and the other family waited, and waited, and waited. We received our food at a fairly reasonable time, roughly 35 minutes. I was not expecting fast food or anything so the wait was fine. I felt for that family with a party of 6 or so. When we got our food, they got up and left. To be honest that shouldn't have happened and I would have done the same. I think the food is fantastic. Great portions, and that home taste of eggs and toast. I'd recommend that you avoid the rush or you'll be in the same questionable situation as most people in on a Saturday morning around 9am... I'd say they'd need more staff or to have a organized strategy for customer experience. They mark high in quality of food. They lack what makes a good restaurant and that's weighed evenly from good wait staff, good food, and over all experience. 3...
Read moreWe came here on March 3rd at 11:00 AM for the first time. My mom wanted a side of French toast, but she wasn't sure if it was only half a slice or whole slice. The waitress answered the question, but with a partial rude answer. She said it's either a side of French toast or it's an order of 3 French toast. My mom just wanted to know if it was a slice or a whole piece. After the waitress rolled her eyes, we finally got a straight answer. There were only 6 patrons in this diner on a Monday early afternoon. It took an HOUR to get our food. Meanwhile, our coffee was getting refilled continuously. However, as we used our creamer, she would annoyingly pick them off of the table. She almost seemed annoyed as she was taking them off the table. The waitress definitely ruined the vibe of this place. The food was very tasty, and they do have a ton of options on their menu. As a breakfast restaurant, this place is steep for prices. For my fiancé and I, it was 47 dollars without tip. I gave a 20% tip, so it was higher after that. For my mom to have a side of French toast and my daughter's omelet, it was $27 without tips. Insane prices for breakfast. I can't see the value of going back. The food is great, but it's not worth it,...
Read moreWe came at lunchtime on a Saturday and it took about an hour to be seated. The host gave no indication about how long the wait would be when he took our name down, and there were plenty of open tables. We were a party of two with a toddler in a high chair and we noticed other small parties that came in behind us being seated ahead of us.
We ordered and waited another 45 minutes before we decided we'd had enough and asked for our check and to have our food packaged to-go. It took another 20 minutes to get our food and out the door after that.
Someone came by our table as we were leaving and gave us two tokens for a free soda or coffee, but at this point I don't plan on coming back to use them.
The scone was great, but cold by the time I got home to eat it. The garlic fries were not good, and definitely not worth $10. I liked the chimi breakfast burrito but it was soggy when I got home too.
I would have been much happier with my experience if they had just said, "I'm sorry, we're short-staffed today and it will be a bit of a wait," when we initially came in. No one said anything to us about it until we had already been there for two hours and we...
