Sorry, I don't agree with any of the good reviews about this place. The man was nice who served us and seated us. But the food was so bland. It had no seasoning at all. The sauce that was on top of the beef cutlet was just like a big spoon of tomato sauce. No flavor!!! And I don't know what's wrong with the Alfredo noodles with the beef cutlet it was just so plain. I was really surprised. I have bought packaged Alfredo noodles from the store at Walmart. That i made myself, that had much more flavor . My brother recommended a place across the street and that is where I am going to go from now on. This place is really tiny, small, dark. It has the atmosphere a bar. Maybe that is what it used to be once upon a time. The beef cutlet was so tough like jerky and I had a butter knife and a fork to use to try to cut it. It was almost impossible. But I ate everything. I was grateful for it. I thank God for it. I went out with my nieces and my nephew in law to celebrate one of their anniversary. I wouldn't complain. I was grateful and I didn't want to ruin the time for anybody else. I remember a place in Phoenix Arizona many years ago. It was called Godfather's Pizza. To me that was what I thought real Italian food was. Because.... yes, it was a pizza place but I have never eaten pizzas with that much flavor in my life... ever. Not ever again. I couldn't get to Phoenix very often but when I did that is where I ate. It was just that wonderful. So to me I think that Italian food is supposed to have flavor and zest. And pack a punch when you eat it. So you can just come away feeling satisfied that you had all the flavor you thought you paid for. And enjoyed it. But this really had no flavor. So I did not enjoy it at all. I have never tried to tell anyone how to run their business and I won't start now. I am by no means trying to hurt this business. I wouldn't do that to anyone's business. I LIKE PEOPLE TO SUCCEED!!!!!!!! I just hope that this review, if they ever see it... will help them a little. Like maybe add more spice to the food. Change the menu and liven the place up a little bit play music. SOMETHING!!! But I hope that things will get better there. I am...
Read moreMy Fiance , his italian mother, and I came in looking for an authentic Italian meal. The interior of the restaurant is not quite what one would expect from an "authentic" place. Cheap tins of pasta on the counter and aprons with pasta types were tacked to the walls. We were seated at one of the window tables. Not too much room to move around. There were about 4 other tables with customers there. Not too busy for a Thursday night. To our disappointment, they don't offer appetizers outside of the salad and slice of garlic bread that comes with your meal. The salad was your basic iceberg salad mix you'd get in a bag at the grocery store. The garlic bread came out cold. We ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, Bistecca Alla Capricciosa, and the Napoletano Calzone. After eating our salads, we waited for about 45 minutes for our entrées. The ribeye was thin, leathery, and overcooked with very little flavor; not what one would expect for $28. The Calzone was drenched in a tomato sauce with literally no seasoning, making it a soggy mess, and the Eggplant Parmigiana was barely recognizable. This is not what any of us would call "authentic italian". The sauces tasted like they came from a can and were watered down a bit. Even though it wasn't busy, we had to flag our waitress down several times to get refills on our drinks. Service was very minimal. Very inexperienced waitstaff for sure. If you're looking for great service, good italian food, and a better overall experience within the same price range, I suggest going across the street...
Read moreDefinitely not what I expected from a sit down restaurant. Uniform for staff was all over the place. White t shirts and shorts are not a good look for a server. Food was sub par in some cases and average in others. We saw a wide variety of plates with the 9 people in our group but most were not satisfied.
Tour chicken was rubbery and calzone was soggy due to the sauce they put over it. The shrimp although seasoned well was over cooked and rubbery. Only difference between the kids spaghetti and the normal entre was an extra meatball. The price difference however does not reflect this one change and thus overpriced the regular entre. The meatball was also way too big for a kid to eat and should have been sized smaller or split in thirds.
The pizza however was one of the only good things our table ordered. It was well proportioned for the price. If this however is your only entre that meets expectations you should be changing your name to a pizzeria and adjusting your prices accordingly.
This is definitely not the standard of the neighboring restaurants and their weight times compared to the surrounding restaurants reflect this. Average wait time of surrounding restaurants was ah hour and a half to two hours. We were seated here within 5mins. This shows the locals noticed the lack of quality compared to nearby...
