Potbelly Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Ogden

ALL THE FAKE REVIEWS THAT ARE SAYING IT’S SO GOOD. THEY’RE EITHER GETTING PAID OFF OR PAID BY THE FOOD.PEOPLE STOP GOING TO THIS LOCATION, THEIR ONLINE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK WITH OTHER LOCATIONS. THEY DO NOT OFFER THE SMOKESTACK They have it at other locations and used to have it for a minute at this location WORST SANDWICHES EVER POTBELLY SANDWICHES IS BETTER IN THE EAST STATES.I called the location to address that they had messed up on my order and address the online app issue at the Ogden location and I got the rudest employee ever named Logan and I explained the situation and he said there’s nothing they can do and then I said well, then you guys need to contact corporate, and I was the nicest as can be and then he told me that he has talked to his district manager about the situation. Well, how come you didn’t tell me at the beginning of the phone call that you talked to the district manager, some of the rudest Customer service ever I’ve been to potbelly sandwiches in the east and they’re way better than this. I hope they shut down this location because that’s not how a potbelly sandwiches should be ran. I contacted corporate because the district manager is not doing anything about it then corporate needs to do something about it Logan needs better customer service training. I was nice as can be. Just wondering why the app has not been working. He should’ve gone on the phone and said I am so sorry. The district manager has been aware of this is to you instead of just flat out being mean and rudeand saying there’s nothing you can do about it. Well you should’ve brought up the district manager thing first. And one time when I was ordering food because the online app wasn’t working, I went into the store and I think I encountered the employee Logan now that I think about it because I was waiting for my order to be coming out and it had said that it was on the shelf and it was not on the shelf for a good four minutes And then everybody’s order came out instead of mine and mine was there first and then four other people showed up on the shelf and they weren’t on the shelf and they got their order first handed to them when I should’ve got my order first and then I try to get the free cookie offer through the app and he was the rudest person ever saying, you can only redeem one at a time while I’ve redeemed more than one at a time at other locations later to find out there’s issues going on with the app and that he had misinformed me I don’t think I’m coming back to this location ever and I will tell everybody in Ogden Utah, not to come to this location that they’re not a true potbelly sandwiches the sandy location website...

First time and sadly the last, found the worker's rude and not very good answering questions like why is the sandwich combo with soup called a skinny sandwich, the answer, "that is what they call it". No one asked what toppings I wanted or if I wanted cheese nothing and every sandwich is toasted they don't ask about that. I can't have tomatoes so I told them that I got a dry toasted bun shredded lettuce 4 very skinny pieces of bacon that are of the precooked variety it comes in that way with pepper on the edges, soup was running out and I told the server I could get a different type if that one was done. She said no no just the right amount, lets be clear it is the smallest soup container maybe 5 or 6 oz and it was half full (maybe that is the skinny part) also the combo doesnt come with a drink so had to buy one, thet had iced tea but I couldn't find anything to ssweeten it with. My companion got the same combo but her soup was filled to the top even some on the lid, her sandwich a meatball sub had approximately a tsp of marinara on it she went and asked for more and was given about a tablespoon. So we sat chatting. Not really eating well it took 4 spoons of soup to finish. The lunch crowd was leaving never not one person came out to clean a table, empty a trash can, which was overflowing an employee was sitting at a dirty table on his laptop. Not the worst experience but at the prices we are paying and let's be honest what they are getting to work there is enough that the service if nothing else should be really good in my opinion. Maybe an off day all the wrong employees on one shift but, whatever the reason, I will not be back and will if anyone asks I will tell them...

I’ve eaten at potbelly locations across the country in my travels and was very excited for them to come to Ogden.

Having eaten at the Ogden location several times now, The food is good, but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Occasionally, I would get my food to go and discover after the fact, they overcharged me by four or five bucks. Every. Single. Time. When visiting - and dining there, they ring me up and sure enough - overcharged me. Example—I bring it to their attention that a $7.99 combo meal plus a $7.99 skinny sandwich shouldn’t equal $21-$22….(And no, I did not accidentally tip).

It seems they always have problems with their register. I went to use loyalty app “coins” once for a free sandwich and it seems like they had to go get their manager and had three people standing around the register and could not figure out how to redeem coins for a free menu item. Finally gave up.

Their fountain drinks taste horrible and it’s frustrating paying for a combo meal only to get a drink that has no carbonation whatsoever. When asking them to solve the issue, they looked confused and make up some random excuse why the machine is not working. It just seems like they don’t know what they’re doing. Best advice for anybody eating there is to double check the total you are paying. They have a lot of corks to work...
