Ok so I been getting a Monte for years .and they always substitute the pork for more turkey. The manager on duty (6.3 white male) came from back with a horrible attitude towards me,very rude , and confrontational towards me , upset because I asked for no ham. I have been going to the tinker location for years and they always make it to my liking with me and my military friends. I appreciate them . But since I moved across the street next door to the new memorial rd location it was my 1st time visiting. Every one else was so nice when I entered the building. Smiles and polite staff. The door lady was amazing, the bar tender was super nice and even offered me a drink while I wait to get yelled at by the manager on duty. After the manager stormed off to the back when I demanded my money back (cash payment) he refused and said no ,only a gift card sir. Wow.... it was only 3mins before the other young gentleman who took my to go order made the purchase. He was a great cashier also, but the manager saying nothing storms off bursting through the kitchen doors , startling the other guest who enjoyed there meals seem scared and shook. I stood in shock, then comes the Culinary manager named ROSE 🌹, SHE MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ,SHE TOOK HER TIME TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND EXPLAIN TO ME, THAT THE SANDWICHES ATE PRE MADE HERE. AND SHE SMILED , AND WAS VERY VERY NICE. I FELT SAFE , I WAS UPSET WITH THE ATTITUDE I GOT FEOM THE MANAGER ON DUTY. BUT ROSE APOLOGIZED ON HIS BEHALF AND TOOK THE TIME TO FIX MY FMAOUS MONTE SANDWICHE WITH ONLY TURKEY NO HAM/PORK , I AM AMAZED ON HOW SHE TOOK CONTROL AND SHE DESERVES ALL THE PRAISE !!!! HER AND THE ENTIRE STAFF TONIGHT ON THIS COLD HALLOWEEN NIGHT DESERVE AWARDS!!!!! THANK YOU FROM MY HEART ❤️ FROM THE AIR FORCE ,WE APPRECIATE U FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE ROSE AND STAFF. BUT I DO NIT THINK THE MALE MANAGET IS HAPPY WITH HIS JOB AND HE DOES NEED TO WORK AT A HAUNTED HOUSE WITH THE POOR ATTITUDE I GOT FROM HIM. FROM A FELLOW BUSINESS OWNER AND CEO TO ANOTHER FELLOW BUSINESS, GET RID OF THE MALE MANAGER HE NEVER EVEN GABE ME...
Read moreI absolutely love this place and was excited to eat here again tonight after the movie.
This is a service related issue, food is always perfect!
The hours of business on Friday are open till 11pm. Me and my two daughters walked in at 10:10pm after watching Dune.
The young man at the host station didn't want to seat us. He told me that, yeah we are open, but getting ready to close and but there was going to be a wait. I said, really? There is 15 people in the restaurant and he said that they were getting ready to close. I asked him if the hours were correct on the door and he said yes.
I said, we will just go to bjs if you don't want our business. He just kept saying sorry. I nicely said that if my employees turned away customers almost an hour before we close, I would probably fire everyone on that shift.
I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and we sat people until we were closed, we didn't worry about what time we got out of there. You could tell the guy couldn't wait to get out of there and wasn't going to seat us so I left and he knew I was not happy.
I eat here all the time with my fiancee and we even got engaged on new years inside this restaurant.
If they stop letting people in before the closing time, they should post it somewhere.
I would think the owner would not be happy about them turning away paying customers an hour before they close.
When we had people come in late, we served them and closed down the reasurant at the same time but never made them feel like we were rushing them to leave.
Bad business, but I'm sure we will try it again sometime. I rarely leave a negative review. I would think the owner would want to know and correct...
Read moreFor those who consider time of the essence, it's an upmarket Interurban in almost every way, though I can't speak of the bar atmosphere here and how it compares to the legendary environment of the lamentably-closed 'Urb on Memorial.
To give some detail, my party and I showed for lunch the other day, some time well into their foray here at the old TGI Friday's location. Seating was prompt, and service wasn't, until the waiter tried to rush us along towards the end of the meal of course. When our food arrived, the wrong side orders were with it.
The food itself is fine. To start, we were brought out some amazing croissants, with a drizzled honey butter topping that evokes the imagination. The Monte Cristo was perfectly of the type, well-fried and full of the usual things in such a gourmet-and-fit-for-a-gourmand offering, though the raspberry jelly that usually accompanies this was erroneously omitted, and it took a few minutes to arrive upon request. I tasted the chicken pot pie that a friend had. While I thought that it, too, was well made, albeit with canned vegetables that nonetheless allowed the sensible price of it, the sauce in the filling was a bit bland and in need of seasoning, though I could see this meeting a few people's tastes. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone, which is again to many people's tastes, but they were simply overcooked. Dishes were attempted to be cleared while we were still enjoying our food.
While there are some growing pains with the place that are persisting well into the "son living in the basement" stage, where they shouldn't be, especially for an established chain, I'm glad it's here, and I will give it another crack after the...
