This is one of my favorite places in OKC. The selection of deli meats and cheeses is unrivaled in this area. I've expanded my palate just by proximity.Their list is expansive and fresh and you'd be crazy to not try some things you've never had before.
The grocery section while physically small has an incredible selection of imported foods as well. The small but full space reminds me of a New York bodega but cleaner.
The best part about this shop are the employees. Some of the nicest and most attentive people you'll meet. They will accommodate and answer any question. If they don't know they'll try to find someone who does. If someone overhears you they will jump at the chance to help out. The shop was never empty in my visits, but you'd think it was by how willing everyone was to get you whatever you were looking for.
Two of my favorite things to buy here (aside from the deli meats and cheeses) are their breads and the canned hummus. They have a bread for pretty much any use. I primarily buy they sub rolls but you can find all manner of bread. The canned hummus is excellent because it provides a clean pallet for you to add your favorite flavors and the breads come in all types, shapes, and sizes.
If you're in the area I can't recommend this place enough, and if you aren't it might be...
Read moreEDIT: This is no longer Atif's amazing shop. This is a place filled with rude, ignorant, unhygenic, apathetic employees who can do what they want when they want (and what they want to do is not wait on customers or help customers). I have been disgusted with the service on multiple occasions and will no longer be shopping here. Also- to whichever new owner reads this- I have been on hold to talk to you for over 10 minutes. So instead of speaking to you here is a review- I hope it helps others who should pick a new store to go to.
pre-2021 (Atif's): The best restaurant in OKC. The best deli in OKC. The kindest shop owner in OKC. The best place to get a Christmas basket for someone in OKC. The most delicious hummus I’ve ever had. Their daily specials are fantastic and if you’re really lucky you’re there on chicken alfredo day. Oh! Get a falafel there too... ...and some spices... ...and some olive oil and bread and pita bread and chocolate and tea and coffee... ...and a smile from the owner- cause he’s seriously one amazing guy...
If I could only go to one restaurant in the whole world for the rest of my life- it would...
Read moreWent here about 4 months ago, it was a Monday early morning in April after they first opened for the day.
I had studied their offerings for a few days and knew they were closed on Sunday, thinking things would be fresh on Monday morn. I asked for a half pint of chicken salad. I only wanted to see how it tasted, considering it is $13 per lb. The clerk presented me with 2 lbs of the salad, well over $26.00!
I told her I did not ask for 2 lbs, and then I was a bit flustered and said give me half a pint. She proceeded to HARD PACK a half pint which came to nearly a pound. I also asked for some German cheese.
That chicken salad was positively inedible, was chicken pulp, and other indescribable ingredients and absolutely disgusting tasting. And the German Cheese went moldy after 2 days in the fridge.
I thought I had found an import Deli and Market to frequent, only to find a place to never go back to. It may have had a day, but that day is...
