Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Slim Chickens recently opened in our town. Since I had never been to one, my son and I chose to try it out. We are a town that has often been called Chicken Central or Chicken Row due to the many chicken establishments present (KFC, Popeye’s, Cane’s, Chick-fil-a, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc). There are also other restaurants such as Braum’s, Arby’s, Long John Silver’s, Chili’s, etc, that sell at the very least chicken strips or tenders. Needless to say, this might be the least tasty and flavorful food I have had in some time. Clearly, choosing to come into a town with so many chicken options, Slim Chicken’s must have done some research before opening. Of the 9 locations I listed above, I might only place the taste above Arby’s and Braum’s as far as chicken is concerned. I had the chicken and waffle. My only advice would be to get out of the waffle business. Soggy, not very sweet and flavorless. And $10 to boot. For what we got, and the overall taste, for $20+for two, I should’ve chosen Taco Bell🥴. I do not recommend choosing this restaurant if you are looking for good food at a good value. Well I normally go to raising Cane's but I decided to got here again because I like fried mushrooms, this gas not been the first bad encounter but it will be my last and I'm leaving this review to hopefully help the couple of ladies who absolutely don't want to be there at all Im not gonna put them on blast but there is two girls there who are not good at costumer service on carries my bag out by its one handle then pretty much shoves it in my window, the other one I ask for light ice in my tea because I don't like watered down tea mid meal and as I pull up I watch her fill my cup up to the top like I see ice cubes over the top before she can pour the tea that's not a big deal I tried to catch her before she poured the tea by honking my horn and waving but she didn't here which I doubt but anyways she comes to the window asking for my card telling me the purchase and I said I don't want all that ice I asked for light ice and she just stares at me with the are you dumb look rolls her eyes closes and shuts the window poor poor service from them the food is okay fries are normally not fresh but I'll be going to...

Update 8/16/24 SAVE YOUR MONEY. It’s a fair warning. They agave such potential to be great but they aren’t. Small portions big prices. Mac bowl and a check in wrap $22!! The service was really nice today that’s a change. Food was somewhat fresh but so disappointing that my wrap has more lettuce than chicken or cheese. Just don’t go here. Other locations have been better for me.

9/29/23 SAVE YOUR MONEY. It’s a fair warning. I’ve wrote a review before. There’s been numerous times my order has been messed up or they’ve forgotten to give my sauce. Last time I called they gave me some free food vouchers. So today I said f-it. I’ll go again. It’s been about 2 months since being there bc of all the bad experiences. NOT GOOD. Food is cold, chicken is tough. I live 5 min down the road so it didn’t sit long at all. I really enjoyed this place at first. Didn’t mind waiting 10 min in drive thru since it was fresh.
