PFChans has fallen far from grace, im sorry to say. It's so hard to be negative about a restaurant that I have loved for decades. And maybe it just the OKC location? I hadn't been in this lication 5 years cause it's out of the way n my last experience was pretty negative. But I told a friend how great their food is n figured let the past go, maybe just a fluke. Nope! A party of ten for a birthday of said friend. First off, large parties are set in a hallway where servers and patrons crowd past you. We kind of laughed it off n soon was busy in chit chat as you would expect. Well one if the gang got a singing birthday gram for the birthday girl. It was what you would expect, cheesy but fun. About 6 minutes into it the guy was wrapping up with happy birthday when the manager pops up, interrupts and asks if we were wrapping it up soon. That was such a mood killer. The whole table looked stunnec. When the birthday gram left we asked our server to bring us the manager. We told him that was really rude and a mood killer. He gave the 'I apologize' followed by a speach if how he has a job to do and it's difficult and that he had three complaints. I call bullshit, but maybe? I did get the pleasure to ask if PF Changs had become so upscale why were we sitting in a walkway n why were we missing napkins n silverware? Now after that, our server really stepped up n took great care of us, hats off to her. The manager did comp the appetizers as an apology. Tonight was embarrassing to me personally cause I raved on this place. The food quality was middle of the road. My crisp honey shrimp came in lumps of 2 or three shrimp and it was still mushy coating in the center if the clump. I will say my PF Changs Los Angeles, Santa Monica experoence in the last few years are always a great time with great service and food quality and always has a great vibe. OKC felt like I was in timeout at grandma n granpas Sunday afternoon coffee shop. I'm pretty pissed and bummed at the same time because it used to be my go to for a exciting restaurant experience. OKC i wont be back n Mr rude manager I am going to write corporate as you so valiently suggested. Looking at other reviews prior to writing this I find others for this location have said similar things. Maybe we point that out to corporate...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting the restaurant. I was nervous considering when I first looked at nearby restaurants to eat at, this place looked so upscale, I almost didn’t choose it. But I did on account I was hungry and love Chinese food. And I’m so happy that I did!
Immediately, I get a seat at a booth next to a window. I wouldn’t have minded any seating they gave me, but a small high-top booth next to a window was perfect for my nerves! I feel like I’m taking up space unnecessarily when put at tables that could seat a group, so this really was a great start!
The waiter was quick in taking my order and had a kind smile. Later after the meal, I had asked him for a to-go cup of the Dragon’s Eye Oolong, (which was very delicious), and I saw him accidentally run into a customer on his way to grab me my to-go cup. He had apologized immediately. That’s memorable to me. It’s nice seeing such nice wait staff!
And speaking of the meal, it was so delicious! I’ll admit that it was pricey, but considering that the food was so delicious, it’s a given it would be expensive.
I had gotten my appetizer so quickly, the dynamite shrimp sure lives to its name! I’m a huge fan of sushi, and the kung pao dragon roll didn’t disappoint! (I’ve had disappointing sushi before, so this really made me happy.) I’ve always been wary of eating tofu because it’s not something I typically come into contact with, but when I saw mapo tofu on the menu, I decided why not? I was so glad to take that chance! I could only eat a few bites since the appetizer and sushi roll were very filling, but those few bites were absolutely delicious! I’m definitely going to have to get it again when I come back, because you can count on it that I will return!
Thank you for a wonderful...
Read moreMy wife and I went to P. F. Chang’s Restaurant for the first time Sunday evening expecting a special dining experience. Being far from special, the experience bordered along the lines of disgusting. It will definitely be our first and last time to eat here. First, we had to wait for a table, being told one needed to be cleaned for us. Other customers were also waiting, so we were patient. Upon finally being taken to a table, we noticed there was food on the seats, the surrounding floor, and the table seemed to have been cleaned with a dirty wash cloth as there were wet streaks everywhere. My wife requested another table, because we did not want to eat at the table we were at. The second table was better, but not by much. All this made me wonder about how the food was prepared in the kitchen and how sanitary it was. We decided to go ahead and order our meal. I found my food to be expensive and average, as did my wife. While waiting for the food and then eating, I noticed most of the help seemed to be doing more talking than working. The person I imagined was a bus boy mainly stood around talking and looking around as more tables needed cleaning. I understand why there is a wait to be seated at this restaurant, and why my wife and I won’t be returning.
The response to our review was, "Sorry to see your experience wasn’t what you had hoped it would be!" I noticed this was a generic response to all the bad reviews concerning this restaurant. "Sorry" simply does no cut it! When customers pay good money, expecting good food, service, and atmosphere; a good to excellent restaurant...
