EDIT 10/31/25: First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN đ Second off, I thought I would give this place another try after not eating here for MONTHS! Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I got The Oklahoma Sampler and it was awful. Every single side I had was old! The campfire tators, French fries, and fried okra tasted like old food mixed in with a little bit of new food and it had been rewarmed. It even had that hardness to it that food has after itâs been rewarmed. Even the roll was hard! Normally, the workers are at least friendly, but this time whenever I asked for two specific bbq sauces, she handed me one and mumbled under her breath, âI already put one in the sack.â I donât need your attitude, just some sauce! $40 down the drain because it was inedible. I will NEVER be back!!!!
EDIT 6/27/24: It is getting really frustrating to eat here. The last few times have been absolutely awful with them barely giving ANY meat with the Oklahoma Sampler. They literally put three BITES of brisket in the order. Not to mention a lot of the meat looks like scraps you would give your dog. Whenever we ate inside the restaurant last week, we ordered two sliced lean brisket sandwiches and they literally brought us nothing but fat on one sandwich and burnt ends (literally) on the other sandwich. They replaced the sandwiches. I just donât understand whatâs going on with this location lately. Itâs like the quality has gone WAY down. I did call and Juan, the manager, offered to replace the Oklahoma sampler today, so at least they try to fix the problems.
The food is great for the most part, the waitresses/waiters are always friendly, nice, and helpful. Itâs always clean. And they have yummy strawberry cake and frozen yogurt.
EDIT: I eat at Swadleyâs all of the time, both drive thru and inside. The last two times, the portions have been significantly smaller and the strawberry cakeâs icing melts off (and no the cake was not in the same bag as the hot food, nor was it anywhere near...
Read moreTERRIBLE!!!! I wish I could give no stars but it forces to give at least one. I don't normally do reviews but I had to rate this service that I just received. When the lady brought in our food, you could look and tell that mines had been sitting waiting on the others to be prepared. She went to get our drinks and when she came back, I explained in a nice way my food is cold, before I could finish she walked out and had a guy bring back mashed potatoes and turkey. Ok, I have brisket, green beans and bread. The guy says. I'll get that fixed and brings brisket and green beans. Really! I didn't touch a thing. The manager comes in and says, I heard your food was brought out cold, we can get that boxed up for you. Are you serious? Is your business hurting that bad? $15.00 for a meal, is not a bad price but for a cold meal and inspite of them bringing me piece by piece of the items that was cold, minus the bread, the service was horrible. I have eaten here on a number of occasions and NEVER has the service been this terrible. I would be embarrassed as a manager to carry on like my business was failing. I thought you did what you needed to do to make the customer happy. I'm not even the rude, frustrated, get upset and throw a fit customer. The funny thing is, I allowed my family to enjoy their meal, why hinder their meal because mine was horrible and they couldn't even get ANY service. No one asked did they need any drink refills, barbecue sauce(we never got any in the first place) and their dad had to go ask someone could my kids get some ice cream. Swadleys, you have just lost a good customer. It's evident that your customers don't matter. The manager and the rude lady proved that today. The guy, I wish I knew your name, your...
Read moreLet me start by saying I REALLY WANT TO LIKE SWADLEY'S. I love their open Christian spirit and reading the guest book and praying for the people requesting prayers kept me busy while I waited for my food. But...
This is only my second time there but the food has been actually bad each time. On this visit I ordered ribs, burnt ends, beans, skillet potatoes, and banana pudding.
Ribs- I asked for no sauce on the half rack of ribs and they came sauced. They were TOUGH and more than half of the "ribs" I received were those weird end cuts with those white round things (not sure what they are) but not a good part to eat
Burnt Ends - these were burnt and dried out to the point it was like eating thick chunks of beef jerky. After eating 2 pcs I threw out the rest as there's nothing you can do to soften them.
Beans - actually pretty good
Skillet potatoes- left on the skillet WAY TOO LONG. Another thing I ate some of and threw out the rest.
This was my second time eating Swadley's and the 1st was a similar experience. I have had multiple bad experiences at Dickey's until I finally learned my lesson. They proved to me what they were. After being extremely disappointed two times at Swadley's I need to ask myself if this is just what Swadley's is. Do I want to try one last time and kick myself like I did each time at Dickey's or cut my losses.
I know Swadley's has mostly positive reviews but there are a LOT OF PEOPLE that don't know what good BBQ is. I've had the best BBQ all over Texas, Kansas City and the Deep South. I LOVE BBQ, GOOD BBQ. Unfortunately, my 2 times at Swadley's have...
