On February 12th 2023 this was my dads and I second time dining in between 6pm-6:30pm. The first time we dined in it wasn't a great experience the food was wrong, the front counter guy was nice and took our order correctly. Soon the manager came over and said our table was randomly selected for a red envelope and it can only be opened in February. If it wasn't for the red envelope we wouldn't of came back. We came back to give them another chance after the envelope was opened it was just 1 free cookie. We have one near us but we drove out of the way just to see about the red envelope. The lady at the front desk saw my dad pay with his debit card, saw the visa logo and the card machine said approved then the debit card machine asks us to swipe the card again the manager came out and said "Their computer system glitched" They had no proof that we paid even though we kept telling him the money came out of my dads account plus the transaction said approved and the food was about $55.01 The manager said we had to reswipe the card again and pay for the food twice since they had no proof we paid even though we said the money was taken out of the account. The manager said one of the transactions will be refunded if we swipe the card again. We said we aren't swiping the card again since it came out of the account once we didn't want to pay for the same food twice especially since their computer glitched the first time. Then my dad asked for a refund. The manager said he voided the original transaction completely then we got 2 receipts and we ended up leaving with no food or drinks but $55 was still missing out of the account. The funny part is we left from this location and went to a buffet because at this point we were all so hungry. We checked this morning and still no money in the account. Somehow this experience was more worse than the first experience. We will never...
Read moreThis is my new go-to place for burgers and fries in OKC! Surprisingly, I came across this place when searching online for the best queso in town. My party was feeling like burgers, so we came here. It was a Saturday night, so the line was fairly long, but the employees were very quick taking orders and getting through the line. All employees were very helpful and friendly, providing recommendations and great service. The atmosphere was just like any other sports bar, with TVs and a lively crowd, but it wasn't too loud you couldn't have a conversation.
The menu is quite large, so there is plenty to get if you have varying tastes in burgers/sandwiches and sides. We started with the aforementioned queso and chips. It comes with "salsa", but you can't even call it salsa considering it was just chopped up tomatoes and juice in a tiny plastic cup. The queso was thick and cheesy, and the chips were really good too. I haven't had queso anywhere else in OKC, but I would definitely think this is towards the top for a non-Mexican restaurant. I went with the Egg-O-Nater, and had grilled chicken instead of beef, and I was pretty disappointed in the chicken. It was too charred, and there wasn't a very good flavor. The rest of the burger (mayo, bacon, egg, pepper jack cheese, wheat bun) was delicious. Next time, I'll have to go with turkey or bison instead of the chicken. The sweet potato fries were outstanding. Dipping them in the garlic aioli made them even better!
I'll absolutely be back again the next time I'm in town. I'll skip the disappointing grilled chicken, but everything else was too good to pass up when I have the...
Read moreFirst, we ordered the queso fries for an appetizer, which were really good, but had to ask for extra sour cream since we barely got a tiny drizzle on ours. But after we asked, they brought out a little cup of it and we were all set :)
I had the Sticky Finger burger (I'm a sucker for a burger with peanut butter and jalapenos.) It was extremely tasty. My husband had the Chili Verde burger and it was quite nice as well, but neither burger was quite as BIG as the photos on their web site had led us to believe. No matter, it was plenty of food!
The burgers are the smashed-on-the-grill type, but not terribly thin like those griddle-cake burgers you get at a diner or something. They had a nice juiciness and meatiness to them, though if you only like burgers that are still pink in the middle, you won't find that here.
What you will find is some really interesting flavor combos they've come up with on their burger menus, as well as the opportunity to create your own masterpiece. They also have really tasty fries (I recommend ordering the garlic parmesan fries and getting a couple of their dipping sauces-- the BBQ aioli is great and reminds me of Red Robin's Campfire Sauce, if you're a fan of that).
Definitely...
