Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Late Wednesday night, 1/31 I ordered my first smoothie ever which was the peanut-butter cup smoothie from the tropical place off of South Western. To say the least, after I got home with my smoothie I had to trash it after my first taste of it due to the bananas they mixed in my smoothie were not ripe and tasted horrible. I have been meaning to call the store manager, but have not had a chance to do that. In the meantime I would suggest tasting your smoothie before u ever pull away from the drive thru to make sure u are not being served un-riped fruits and vegetable's in your smoothie drink. The prices charged for these drinks are not worth paying when they decide that it’s okay to prepare your drinks with fruit and vegetables that have not had a chance to ripe yet. I would have much rather the server tell me the drink was not available and given me the option to order a different smoothie than the server handing me a smoothie mixed with fruits that were no where ready to...

Order without sugar. It's good and reasonably priced. Almost everything has A LOT of sugar added. If you are going for a smoothie to be healthy or if you are watching calories, request no sugar. Sugar can add 300-500 extra calories in several of the smoothies. Fruits are sweet enough as they are! I've had the Detox Island Green (comes without added sugar), Sunrise, and Avocalada (without sugar or Splenda). They taste great and sweet enough without the added sugar. They offer boosters and add ins. I get the pea protein. I have not tried any of their deli menu. There's a drive-through available for convenience. I've never had to wait long, even when they were super busy. The employees are not as educated about the allergens in their items as I would like. Im shocked this place has 4.4 stars. Ive had several occasions where they just cannot get it right and today was by far the worst experience. Me - " Id like a deluxe quesadilla with red sauce " ... Her - " a chocolate quesadilla " Me - " aha... uh.. no a deluxe quesadilla with red sauce " Her - " Oh I think youre confused you mean { names some other random items completely unrelated } ". Im shocked at the incompetency and idiocy I receive here. On another occasion I was asked if I wanted my sandwich halved and I assumed they meant cut in half, but no I received half a sandwich.
