I went to this restaurant some time in December (I don’t remember the exact date, but I believe it was sometime between the 6th and the 19th, around 1:30 PM.) A darling little girl named Haley took my order (I really liked her gold earrings, if you know where they are from, please let me know. I want them for my stepdaughter’s photo album.) She had a large smile plastered across her buckers. The canvas that was her face was full of joy, whim, and vivacity. (If you know a therapist in town, please let me know, I miss when my son smiles at me like that.) A beautiful young lady named Emma brought me my Pad Thai (It was sweet and tangy just like my third wife, the peanuts reminded me of her allergy. RIP) Her smile, while not the same as Haley’s, was equally as enticing and magical (If any of you know a local magician, I need one for my granddaughters birthday on March 3rd, 4 PM PST.) I ordered a Thai tea, and the ladies came hand in hand to deliver it to me (It reminded me of Thailand, I’ve never been, but it’s been trending on my reels.) I ate my purple rice pudding, while reminiscing on pudding my dogs medicine in her bowl (she has diabetes.) I made a payment to a Haley (she took my card, inserted it into the slot, turned the POS around to allow me to enter my PIN, prompted me to enter a tip (I gave a 25% tip) and the handed me back my Visa card (I have a special edition gold one because I opened a high yield savings account at my local bank)) I left happy and full! (I drove my 2014 Kia...
Read moreWe don't eat out often due to dairy restrictions for my son, so when we do I always make sure it's somewhere safe for him. I remembered eating here when I worked right in downtown years ago and I always had fabulous lunch items.
My son has had Japanese and Chinese food but never Thai, figured it was time to change that. We came in for dinner and there was only one other table with people when we came in. Not sure if lunch is the busy time or if people do take out more at dinnertime these days. They did have a few take out orders while we were there.
Our server was very nice and super helpful suggesting items. I know it was slow but checking in a couple more times for water or to offer tea would have put the service to a 5 for me.
Now about the food. Delicious. We got Combination #1 and chicken satay with peanut sauce. My son devoured the chicken satay and ate all 4 skewers. Took to chopsticks like he was born with them. Told me repeatedly he loved Thai food and the next day ate all the leftovers. I left feeling stuffed and happy, I don't eat carbs often anymore so the term food coma applied 100% in my case.
Delicious and we will come back again, we just may change where we sit so easier for...
Read moreSo I finally got to try this place after reading all the rave reviews and was quite unimpressed. Place was almost empty except for 2 other tables with a diner at each and yet service was slow but the waiter was polite. I concluded that it has such high reviews probably because the folks who like this place like huge portions of starchy carbs loaded with sweet syrupy sauce. The curry and pad thai combo had almost no protein… just laden with extremely sweet almost ketchupy like sauce with very little ingredients (pic paints a thousand words) but enough noodles to knit a pair of socks with, there were 3 slivers of chicken in the portion cup of chicken curry and cold rice. The Lad Na doesn’t taste like Thai Rad Na, it’s tasted like some chinese beef chow fun with precooked/recooked/microwaved(?) beef and spoiling onions… yuck. Nothing here tasted like Thai food, what a disappointment and prices are not exactly cheap. I can’t recommend this place. Do yourself a a favor and walk a little further down...
