I need to understand how it's acceptable for the staff at the McDonalds on Harrison Ave to are left in a store to accost paying and provide demeaning customer service. We got a Happy meal in the drive through for our daughter and before my husband left the parking he realized they forgot the BBQ sauce. We make it a habit of parking and checking our item to not slow down the restaurant but make sure we have our items since we frequent have things forgotten, even the patty of a burger. When he came in to ask for a BBQ that was left out of his order by mistake, he was met with contempt immediately. Instead of handing him a sauce and apologizing for small mistake, they demanded a receipt. He explained he was not provided a receipt but recited his order back and pointed to the woman that just gave him food, the only person wearing a black shirt, leading us to believe she was the manager. The lady still refused to give him a sauce, 1 BBQ sauce. When she went to ask the manager another young man came out and my husband explained he came through the drive through, they forgot his sauce, he just needs a sauce so he can go. Again, he was told the worker needed to ask the manager. Shortly after the original woman came back with different man and stated they were going to have to review their transactions to confirm he actually ordered. He told began to get upset, understandably, and said he said he would pay the $0.50 for a sauce so he could leave. The male worker started to try and intimate my husband into leaving. The woman held the sauce over her shoulder as to taunt him and stated "if I give you this sauce, you're going to have to leave". At that point my husband was done and left the store. I called and asked for the manager. When I asked for her first name, she refused and said it's for safety. I explained the reason for my call was for repeated experiences of items missing and to understand why it was so difficult for my husband to get a sauce that was forgotten in our mean. She stated she tried to give my husband the sauce but he refused. I explained that was not accurate and she proceeded to state their policy requires someone to show their receipt. She said she has a business to run and they only can give out the allocated number of sauces so she can make money, just like Starbucks, Wendy's... I began to get upset and interrupted her to say that we didn't ask for free food, we asked for one MISSING sauce that following her logic paid for. Good customer service would be to give him the sauce. He wasn't given a receipt so he couldnt provide one. She stated he declined the receipt. How could she remember those details when I called but not moments after when my husband was in the store? She stated he should have stayed in the drive through to check his back and prove they forgot the sauce. She then began to explain that they have a lot of homeless and drug addicts that come in begging for food, digging through their trash, trying to bring in found receipts for free food which made it clear what happened. My husband is brown and has missing teeth from a health condition and the staff determined he was undeserving, a liar, and a con. I have NEVER had this experience at this store and I will leave it to your imagination what color skin I have and how many teeth I'm missing. I go in ask for my sauce, get it without hesitation. I'm sure nothing will go wrong when you have McDonald's staff playing police, judge, and jury. If your location is that volatile, hire security, you're putting every person that comes in that store at risk. After this we will never patron a Kimberly Presto owned McDonald's again and will tell anyone that will listen not to as well. It difficult to reconcile how someone can be so involved in the Strophy foundation, a foundation that supports recovery and second chances, also has businesses with multiple employees that are unapologetically discriminatory to that...
Read moreEveryone at this McDonald’s has always been kind and helpful…until today. The day I met Corianna(I may be misspelling her name because it was told to me by police officer).
I love the breakfast here and my family does as well so we made sure to get there before they stopped serving. We ordered our usual - sausage McMuffin meal, big breakfast with hot cakes and the hotcakes in a separate container so that they do not absorbs the flavors of egg and sausage, an extra hash brown and a coffee (the separate pancakes and extra hash brown are for my picky-eater daughter). It only took us 5 minutes to get to the food window and when we were given our food, we inspected the contents of the bag and noticed that the pancakes were in the same container as the sausage and egg. It took an additional 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were still there holding up the line but they said they couldn’t help us right now. Another 5 minutes later, a different employee asked if we needed something and I told him what happened and he went to get us some pancakes in a separate container. While we waited we saw the car in front of us get out of his car and go inside. We could see the front counter register through the drive through window and witnessed Corianna arguing yet again with another customer twice. Seconds before the helpful employee could return with the pancakes, Corinna intercepted the package and told me that I had to come inside if I wanted to get them even though I could see that they were right next to her. I told her that I wasn’t coming inside and I wasn’t moving until she gave me my pancakes. She then told me that if I wouldn’t come inside she would give me a refund. I didn’t want a refund, I wanted my daughter’s breakfast. Then she had the nerve to tell me that I was being difficult. To which I replied, “I’m not being difficult, you’re being difficult. I just want my pancakes”. While she was arguing with me, the car in front of me at food window #2, backed up to within a foot of my car and purposely blocked me in. Corrianna came back to the window and told me that if I didn’t leave, she would call the cops. I said, “go ahead!”. Then for a moment it seemed as though she had a change of heart when she said, “I can’t give you these pancakes unless you give me those ones back. I excitedly said, “here have them back!”. She said I cant take those here, u have to come inside first. I said no take these here and grabbed them out of the container. As I opened my car door to be able to reach the window and hand over the pancakes, she slammed the window on me. I then put the pancakes on the edge of the window. The car in front of me saw this, reached his arm way out his window and gave me a thumbs up, twice! After the pancakes fell on the ground, Corrianna came back to the window and said that she couldn’t take those back now because they touched the ground(as if she was going to take them back in the first place). She then told me that the police are on the way and that her employees are having to go outside now and take orders from people in line(in reality they were having to to that because she told them to). The police arrived another 7 minutes later. They spoke to the vehicle in front of me breifly before that vehicle left. The police then said to me that they have to have me leave because Corianna refuses to serve me and it will be considered trespassing if I do not comply. After waiting at the drive through window for what seemed an eternity, we finally left at 10:32 AM. Just two minutes after they stopped serving breakfast. This was a four star restaurant until they hired this lady, Corriana. It was clear to me that she enjoyed being in charge and throwing her weight around. And now because of this one rotten employee, they sunk to a -2. If I could give negative stars o. This review, I would. I hope there is a change in leadership soon. This...
Read moreThe absolute worst McDonald's I've EVER been to. The workers are rude and they are sneaky with stuff. I've gone there a few times to give them another chance but once they gave us only 1 fry when we paid for 2, went back to get the second one and the lady (manager) was extremely rude to us because THEY forgot our fries we paid for, then gave us one that was stone cold, then we said it was cold and she said we are lying and wouldn't refund us or give us hot fries that we paid for. And ANOTHER time we bought two burgers and two fries and they gave us ONLY 1 burger and cold fries, they wouldn't give us warm fries and gave us the burger THEY didn't give us and it was cold. Then recently there was a deal for a free medium fry if you buy a certain burger and we bought 2 of those burgers which means we get 2 free medium fries and luckily we noticed but they charged us an extra $10 for the fries and we noticed right after we were handed our receipt. who knows how many people they steal money from. The lady was very rude to us, as they were giving us the money back for the fries that are advertised for FREE. Then we pulled forward to grab our food and the fries we stone cold AGAIN, and we were told it's because they had to wait. Well duh you had to wait because YOU messed up our order and wrongly charged us $10. So you guys sneekly charge us for something you shouldn't had, then we bring it up and you give us cold burgers cold fries and no straws for our slushies. what is wrong with this McDonald's? seriously this is the worst one I've ever been to and the staff is very rude. It was the same manager that was snarky and extremely rude and said that we were lying about the fries being cold. I don't see how this lady who is so rude and tells the customers that they are lying is still working, real disappointment that you couldn't choose better workers because it's the SAME MANAGER who messes up our...
