Ordered takeout because we were craving Mediterranean food! It was our first time trying Zaytuna but we love Mediterranean. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with pita on the side and my husband order the gyro plate. Both with a salad on the side. It was a little bland unfortunately. The plate only came with rice and chicken. No onions or tomatoes etc. the sauce was also odd to me because it didn’t taste like creamy garlic sauce or tzatziki. The salad was full of veggies and had feta blocks etc and was yummy! I added it to my plate to make it more flavorful! The pita was also not true pita, it tasted closer to wheat bread. Overall, not my favorite but if you’re wanting Mediterranean it might be your vibe!

Stopped by Zaytuna restaurant during our visit to Omaha. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend dishes or share the stories behind them. The food is the true highlight—rich, flavorful, and prepared with clear attention to tradition. The hummus is creamy and perfectly balanced, the kibbeh is crispy on the outside and savory inside, and the dishes are so tender they practically melt in your mouth. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience true Syrian cuisine with top-notch service.

We visited Zaytuna on a pretty hectic Friday night but they took our order quickly. The manager checked in halfway through our meal to see how things were. He was attentive and personable, looking for genuine feedback to improve services. The portions are generous, which I always appreciate. I had the chicken Sharma wrap and loved it. It was flavorful with proportionate seasoning. I would highly recommend the hummus dip (might've been feta, I cant fully remember). I used it for my fries, it was probably my favorite aspect of the meal.

Bro slowwwww on front counter, line to the door and food sitting in window, nahhh, wont be back

Response to owner : it was 1145 am, rush??🤣 You had a party come in and you have one person running the whole restaurant, he tried to make me wait for everyone to be rung up, and when more walk in, wait for them too? 🤭

The lady said you can serve him his food first, when the customer refuses service and tells you how to do your job because your obviously doing it wrong, you have failed brother, no excuses needed, guy was the worst front counter person ive ever experienced and i deliver orders for a living, no lie, you want fair, there it is, dude cant handle that job, are you the guy who was leaving while the "rush" was there? Lol Abandon ship and wanna chat immediately huh?...so u got time then? 🤣🤣🤣

Train your ppl correctly instead of making silly excuses, he was buried and u could see that, dude was scared of you leaving 🙄 having hot food sit in the window as 1 person serves orders, takes orders and helps customers in the lobby? Get more than 1 person, copps pizza that was in that building for years before you, so lets really break it down bro, a rush has nothing to do with the problem i experienced, thats your routine, hot food sits in the window waits, nahhhhh, to go orders are not to wait orders, your rush was a party, one party, the first lady bough a drink, that was it 🤣🤣🤣

Bro pulled out his phone and checked it while taking her order off a soda, omg busy 🫣 let me remind you this was all in about 8 mins time

When he handed me the order he had a sour face on cause he wanted me to wait now and he felt silly, so please, tell me again about your rush that you ran away from, i really wish i woulda took a pic, no one in restaurant and a buisness party of 8, tops, is not a rush,...

Definitely not a good experience. The restaurant was empty, but the employees were busy with their phones when we walked in, so it took a while to have someone to take our order at the counter. However, for some reason, he was getting noticeably irritated when we asked questions about the menu items. Although it was a fairly new restaurant, they were out of half of the fountain drinks as well as some menu items. The mop they used to clean up a spill next to our table had such a horrible smell that we had to move to another table at the opposite end of the restaurant. Although they asked how we wanted our meats cooked, they were either undercooked or overcooked. None of the menu items had a good flavor except kibbeh and salad. We can not think of a reason to...

I’ve been eating at Zaytuna since their very first year as a food truck, and it’s always been some of my favorite food in Omaha. However, I’ve noticed some inconsistency at this location. My girlfriend and I ordered our usual—shawarma wrap, chicken over rice, and hummus—but unfortunately, nothing quite tasted right.

The salad was soggy, the shawarma wrap had far too many pickles, the hummus was noticeably more acidic than usual, and the chicken over rice seemed rushed. They also forgot the side of tahini. Overall, the flavors were off and not what we’ve come to expect from Zaytuna, which makes me hesitant to order from this location again. It wasn't quite the experience we've come to love, though I know how great Zaytuna can be, so I'm hoping this was...
