Don Chico's — Restaurant in Oregon City

Best Mexican food in all of Oregon City! The carne asada tacos are the absolute best and paired with the verde salsa made in house, yum! The verde salsa has that slight kick to it and I always save the leftovers. My friend swears by their club sandwich and I was not disappointed! For some reason Don Chicos really knows how to nail a club sandwich! Delish! I get one every time now and haven't been able to get away from it to try the other American food.

The staff is always friendly, we love coming by. Really genuinely kind people and they want you to enjoy your food! Never had an issue at the counter, they've even done special requests or last minute adjustments to items for us. Just so pleasant and I love that about a place.

The ONLY let down about this place is that their takeout food comes in styrofoam boxes :( I would love to see anything but styrofoam! Cardboard would be best! But I get that the warmth of the food is of concern, maybe something they can look into though as it's the sole reason we only eat out here once every month or so. Horrible experience, never again. We are visiting from out of town and was told this was one of the best Mexican restaurant. Horrible service and so many mistakes. The food was edible but unbelievable how they still get away with having prices posted and charging a lot more. Plates advertised as $10.25 are charged at $11.99. The person who invited us commented that they had not questioned why they were being over charged because they never got a receipt showing the prices per item. We were given a receipt with all the prices and everything was overpriced because the amount advertised is not honored. We brought this to the attention of the manager and he said that they had barely changed the prices on the computer but not the screen on the board. Lies because the person who brought us said they had over paid since three weeks before. I also said that they should tell the cashier to have the courtesy and let the customers know that there as an increase in prices. Sad how people have to be deceitful and in the end there will be no prosperity with this...

I first looked them up online. Clicked on their website and looked at the menu. Their menu says the breakfast burrito is $5.70. But once I arrived in the store their menu says it was $8.25. This is not cool since this price was part of my decision making on coming into this establishment to begin with. I told the lady at the counter that the price online was way cheaper. She claims it is an old menu. Fine but change that. It’s your website and your duty to due so. I went ahead and got the bacon breakfast burrito anyhow since I was there already and hungry.
