Bula Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Orlando

While attending a conference at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, I frequently visited the Bula Bar during breaks, down time, and to host short meetings. While the ambiance and food were great, this review is ALL about exceptional service. I live in Chicago, a place where those who indulge love their "neighborhood bar". After only being at the resort for 4 days, bartenders Daniel and Colin made me feel like the Bula Bar was my neighborhood bar. They were cordial, attentive, and poured amazing drinks. What really stood out to me though is how my drink was waiting for me before I could even sit down. Considering the high volume of guests the resort hosts, I can't possibly be the only one getting this type of attention. If you stay at Loews, go see Daniel and Colin - you won't be disappointed....

After a long day at Universal theme park we just wanted to relax with a drink and snack. We sat at a table and looked over the menu deciding on sharing a pulled pork sandwich & a drink. We waited about 10 minutes and then asked the bartender if there was table service and he said “you can wait or order from me” so we ordered. One pulled pork sandwich, fries, ice tea, and pina colada with automatic 18% tip was $45.00. We had the food in under 5 minutes but it was cold! The server asked if wanted plates, we said yes, and never saw her again, so we used paper napkins as plates. A very disappointing experience that will...

I’m honestly surprised by some of the other reviews. Yes, the drinks are very expensive - but what do you expect at a poolside bar at this type of resort? We’ve eaten here countless times over the years, including a couple of quick meals on our recent trip last month. Service has been great on every occasion, and for a pool bar the food is good too. Really nice fish tacos and great chicken quesadillas. Nice place to spend a couple of hours when you want a break...
