I normally take my losses but i cant get over my experience at Chili’s last night. Dont get me wrong my server was amazing and so personable but his coworkers really tried to screw him. I went with 5 other friends last night and most us of got the 3 for me sirloin. I asked for ceasar salad with balsamic dressing instead of ceasar and the salad came out with ceasar dressing on the side overflowing onto my salad, okay cool i ask for a remake and then they bring me a house salad. I decided to give it to one of my friends instead and just keep my mouth shut since i already returned the first salad. I asked for a refill along with my friends and only they got their refills while i did not, i had to ask for it a second time. Then my sirloin came out, i asked for it to be medium and it came out rare no where near medium. I was so fed up that only my food was getting messed up that i tried to just eat since i was hungry, i only took a couple bites before i stopped since it was all fat so then i moved onto my corn which i also only had a couple bites of since i lost my appetite. i was just going to take my loss pay for my food and tip my server since it wasnt his fault only my food out of a 6 top kept getting messed up, but my friends stood up for me and told him my experience for which he was very apologetic and told me he will take my meal off the bill. When the bill came around apparently the manager decided that since i took a couple bites out my corn and drank my strawberry lemonade i only deserve 50% off and tried to make me pay. again i didnt want to cause any trouble so i was just going to pay and leave when my friends got so fed up for me that they talked to the manager to take the entire meal off. overall thank you to my kind server but my experience was absolutely terrible especially when i was the only person that kept getting messed up food every step of the way. i have never felt more unseen...
Read moreAhh, good ol' Chilis. Legendary national chain in the same vein as Applebee's, TGI Friday's, all the places you went to for your birthday when you were a kid. These places have gotten a pretty bad rep lately, and I will admit, I don't come to places like this often, but it does happen occasionally.
I came here one day after getting a gift card for Secret Santa at work. I was legitimately excited, because quite frankly, their chipotle chicken tenders are actually amazing. So we get here, ambiance is the same it's been for the past 33 years, so is the service, so then it was time to look at the food.
We got two things, the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas (Chicken, shredded cheese, chile spices, bacon, house-made ranch. Served with pico, sour cream, ranch) and the Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers® Combo (Chicken tenders tossed in our famous honey-chipotle sauce, served with white cheddar mac & cheese, fries & house-made ranch.
Quesadilla was good. Crispy, cheesy, and customizable. All the things it should be. What I mean is that with the ranch, the pico, and the sour cream, you can add as much or as little of what you want to each bite. Always a good thing. Solid.
And the crispers, as delicious as I always remember them being. Crispy, slathered in sauce, and with plenty of good dipping ranch. I seriously love these. I usually give places like this four stars, but I just can't not give my chicken crispers less than five stars.
The only thing, not a very big surprise, is the shinkflation going on. There's no denying that the size of the tenders has shrunk in recent years. That's just life. But hey, Chili's, when the economy calms down, maybe give us full sized tenders...
Read moreAmazing service from Chris at the bar. A wonderful hostess sat us by shouting HELLOOOO like she knew us, that was AWESOME & so welcoming, but I didnt get her name. Chris is MAGNIFICENT! Amazing tableside manner, very helpful and accommodating, & FAST LIKE FLASH so I hope he takes his full breaks and gets extra time to rest. He deserves everything and more because that is what he gives to his customers! He goes above and beyond to serve.
We actually left the Chili's located on Semoran Blvd in Winter Park because it took a while for a host to show up and seat us and it had been over 10 minutes without a waitress even coming to greet us.... so we left and went to Oviedo and I am SO PLEASED that we did!
From the walk in it was totally different. We were greeted like old friends and WARMLY welcomed into Chris's serving area. He was ready to start us with drinks and apps the moment we sat. It was SUCH a different.
Both chili's had a sign stating something along the lines of "A place like no other"... I felt like Oviedo Chilis actually exhibited that motto.
I will definitely be returning
Thank you so much Chris for all you did tonight and every night you serve.
