Don Mario's — Restaurant in Owensboro

I was very impressed with the food. The tacos are well seasoned and filling. Some of the better tasting Lomo and Barbacoa I've found.

Our server was very friendly and prompt. He kept our chips and drinks filled.

My only issue was their menu itself. They still advertised the prices that appare5are changing. When I asked after receiving the bill the waiter told me they had a sign in the door stating they are getting new menus and prices had increased. You cannot do that. At a minimum the prices could have been marked out in these outdated menu's. We didn't see the sign on the door until we were told about it and I read it on the way out. It was a small dry erase board that wasn't going to draw anyone's attention. Issuing out menus with a price other than what you charge is false advertisement. Tacos are not 2.50, they are 3.25 now. Steak on the beach is now 10.99 vs 9.99.

Be aware before going the prices are outdated as of this review. We will still return and the food is worth the new price. It just rubbed me wrong that you would still hand out the old menus setting us up to expect one price to bring me a receipt for a different price. At least have the staff notify customers as they are seated before...

Ok so my honey took me for date night❣️ Mind u we wanted to try something new so we went down town to Don Mario's and mind u as we was eating my ole man sees this bug crawl across the wall and literally jump to the table like a jumping spider and up on the salt shaker 🤨 I jump up the lady behind me ask what's going on we say cockroaches and she claims everyone has them and keeps eating...like wtf 😒 At this time I can't deal I walk outside to hit my stick and tell Chris to deal with it. They ended up charging him for our 2 margaritas understandable...but both of our foods... Come on now neither of us was able to finish nor wanted to bring it with us...like wtf 😒🙄😳 We did leave a tip for the server...none of...

We came in as a party of three a little over a week ago to try it out. Everyone was very nice. The table chips were so delicious, we bought an extra to go. Everyone liked their food. The only confusion we really had was the fact that the vegan fajitas came with non-vegan sides like sour cream and cheese. It should be served without those items at least. The vegan mole sauce needs more flavor to it, i had to add a bunch of my sides with it to be able to really enjoy it. I would come back to try something else and give it a shot. I love that you all even have vegan items. This is the first time I was able to eat out at a Mexican restaurant in...
