Moe's Original BBQ — Restaurant in Oxford

Worst BBQ I've had in the South. My wife's chicken and my son's and my pulled pork was very dry.

The Mac n' cheese was, by far, the worst we've had anywhere. The macaroni wasn't fully cooked and several pieces were very crunchy. And where in hell was the cheese??? It was very greasy for not having much in it. Just awful Mac n' cheese. None of us could eat more than a bite.

The cornbread had an OK flavor with the diced jalapenos, it wasn't dry, but was extremely dense.

The baked beans were thick, which I personally like, but there was so much molasses (I'm assuming that was the sweetness) in them, that's all I could taste. Couldn't take a 2nd bite.

Just an overall horrible BBQ experience. We definitely won't be...

I needed to place a carry out order for a small family gathering that was taking place at 4pm. I began calling Moe’s BBQ in Oxford at 2pm. I called 9 times between 2-3pm. The phone was “busy” every time. I drove to the location, approached the counter, and asked them if their phone was working. They said “our boss sometimes uses the phone for business”. Sorry, but I don’t believe that. But if it is true, the boss doesn’t need to tie up the phone when customers are trying to place carry out orders. More likely, the staff just didn’t want to be bothered. On a positive note, I placed the order, it was filled after a short wait, and everyone at the family gathering had positive things to say about the BBQ that we picked...

I got pulled pork, beans and potato salad, food was average and I've had better. After I got home I found that they charged me a 20% tip that wasn't listed on receipt and I never had the opportunity to select a tip, but it was on my bank card though. I won't go back. Better compare your card statement to your bill. The owner contacted me to correct this issue which was nice of him to do, but I figure this is a done deal and I'll leave it as is. I still will not go back, this was my first and last time that...
