Start with the Ugly.... food is very overpriced (even if it was "good"). The menu is not accurate (the "loaded" tots lacked the advertised jalapeños). Tots... 5 in cast iron "pan" with a cup (maybe a little more) tots, some cheese chopped bacon and chives. $15. The BBQ chicken pizza (pictured) is a $16 mess. The dough was barely browned... appears to be prepackaged dough in a sloppy cheese disguise. The BBQ is probably Hunts or similar. The $16 burger (pictured) is a basic burger that would be beat by nearly any Carl's Jr. Flavorless, small overcooked patties.
The good: the service was attentive and nice. This will be the first thing to fall apart since the food is so sad and the price is so high. The value will make solid tips these folks deserve a tough proposition.
The ok: the atmosphere was OK. The tables are silly wobbly, and the staff just tries to manage them. They have been clearly on a decline for a while....
too bad... so much potential (roof top indoor/outdoor setup).... I am guessing this is barely scraping by on revenue...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer for a while and used to love coming here, but after multiple negative experiences, I can no longer support this establishment. Most recently, the male bartender was extremely rude and unwelcoming. No one acknowledged or greeted us when we sat down, and he went as far as to throw my friend’s ID back at her. It was completely disrespectful and unnecessary.
What’s worse is that this isn’t the first time we’ve been treated this way. It’s become clear that this is not just an off night or isolated incident. It genuinely feels like they’re selective about who they treat with basic respect and hospitality. As someone who used to enjoy coming here, it’s disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism and customer care.
There are too many great places with staff who actually value their customers. I won’t...
Read moreA neat spot for after dinner drinks, or while visiting with a friend from out of town as the balcony over looks N Lamar towards the courthouse square. Drinks are pricey but always good, you're paying for the atmosphere as well, and there's not quite anything else like it in Oxford, its got a quaint and vintage "speak easy" vibe. The bartenders wear bow ties and its just cozy. Lance, a great conversationalist, and Cody, a true gentleman, are our favorite bartenders. The food is good but not really our style, so we usually just grab drinks....and maybe desert, depending on how many drinks...
