Heartbreak Coffee — Restaurant in Oxford

I attempted…foolishly…to go to Starbucks on Jackson Avenue this morning for coffee. They had locked customers out of the building, forcing drive through access only. Beyond the inconvenience and absurdity of customers being limited on access, they have created a safety concern as the traffic flow for drive through is horrendous. Since humans have become increasingly inconsiderate of others, three individuals were stuck in parking (they had intended to be paying customers). All three, plus myself, left without spending a cent once we were able to get free of the mess in the parking lot.

I am glad that happened. If not, I may not have found Heartbreak Coffee. Highly recommend them for fast, friendly, and I can say now…much better tasting coffee. I now have my go-to coffee spot when...

Been there twice--both times the Americano tasted bad (sour and watered down). Although their coffee is overpriced for the quality, I went there to get some work done so I was willing to pay the price for the space and access to internet--only to find that their internet was having problems! I paid over 8 dollars for two Americanos (if they were good I might have felt less angry) AND tip but the staff didn't care to inform their customers beforehand abt the connection problem although they were fully aware of it for a couple days. Lovely lovely atmosphere! The employees are kind and generous. The beverage selection varies! I especially love their teas. Uptown is a great place to study, read, or enjoy your coffee and bagel with loved ones. Also a great spot for a first date just so happens ✨ The playlists are spot on. As far as Covid regulations, the only seating allowed is outdoor seating at the moment. Masks are required indoors at all times.
