Went here for the 2nd time last night. The place smelled like backed up sewer lines and sour bar mats. After receiving my food, I looked up to see an order expediter preparing customers' orders holding a live dog! He had the dog in the kitchen, clearly visible to everyone, and he was not observed to was his hands as he touched food and prepared plates. GROSS! Additionally. I observed a thin male kitchen staff member with long hair intoxicated and screaming across the bar. I watched him walk behind the bar, grab a short old fashion glass and pour multiple shots of whiskey into the glass which he chases in record pace. Then he immediately poured several more doing the same to quickly consume entirely too much alcohol. I cannot believe these people steal from their employer, bring dogs into the kitchen, violate safe food handling guidelines, and work drunk! This place needs to be shut down! Where is John Taffer when you need him? Better yet, these people don't deserve saving. The Blind Pig promotes its self a pub-restaurant. It is not! It is a dive for junkies and drunks trying to poison themselves that happens to sell really poor quality food. I feel sorry for everyone...

Nestled in the heart of The Square, The Blind Pig in Oxford, MS, is a quintessential subterranean college bar that offers a unique and intimate vibe perfect for both lively nights out and relaxed evenings. With its warm lighting and rich, dark wood decor, the ambiance invites you in to stay awhile, reflecting a classic yet energized college bar setting that's both welcoming and distinctly stylish.

The real treasure of The Blind Pig, however, lies in its voluminous selection of beers on tap. Beer enthusiasts can rejoice over the diverse range, from local microbrews to international favorites, ensuring there's something on tap for every palate. This impressive selection complements the vibrant atmosphere, where the buzz of conversation and laughter create a backdrop that's as spirited as the drinks offered.

Whether you're there to catch up with friends, enjoy a night out, or simply soak in the local college scene, The Blind Pig delivers a memorable experience. It’s a place where old friends gather, new friendships are made, and every visit promises something new to discover...

I love this hole-in-the-wall type bar! They always have changing draft beers available as well as very good food! We ordered the pork rinds as an appetizer. It comes with a BBQ seasoning on it and let me tell you, they are fantastic! I know what you're thinking right now, pork rinds? Eww, cholesterol and air mixed together, no thanks. Let me be the first to tell you, just try them first, you will not be disappointed. As a meal I had the Wednesday burger special, the Grilled Cheese Burger. It has a grilled cheese sandwich which they cut in half diagonally and then slap a burger with onions and mayo in between the half and you grt your choice of a side item. Burger was very tasty but I do wish it was two grilled cheese whole sandwiches that made the bun up. Not 1 sandwich cut in half. The vurger just didn't fit on the amount of space. Was still very good. I got mine with house chips. Should have gotten the BBQ rub on the chips. Much...

Good location when walking through downtown Oxford. Plenty of potential too as tucked away downstairs. However, this place is due for a serious deep cleaning and refresh. Felt as if I was disturbing staff. Every draft beer I ordered was not available. I understand product shortages due to COVID, but the options were listed on a chalkboard that could easily be erased. I opted for a mainstream can of beer. Intriguing selection of food and sandwiches but wasn't cheap ($14). When meal came it was very tiny in length and definitely didn't compensate with extra ingredients as was flat too. I'm sure this place is fun during college football games, but for price commanded would expect more attention. Not my style and will opt for another watering hole next trip to Oxford.

THIS is definitely a restaurant that all others restaurants should take notes! First, the staff were knowledgeable about their menu AND the beer. Can't tell you how many times I ask about IPA and get deer in headlights look. And they give you beer SAMPLES?!?! Who does that? 2nd, the food came out FAST! Disclaimer - you put your order in as you arrive then seat yourself so I am sure that cuts in to the wait time. 3rd the food was amazing. Home made kettle chips, a Reuben that has pastrami AND corned beef on it, and the burger was fantastic!! If in the area again would definitely put on itinerary! You won't regret it
