Just look at the other negative reviews in context of reading mine. Long-time Chipotle patron; I dine at Chipotles all over the State of Florida and around the country as a frequent traveler. I know how Chipotles are supposed to be run and how the food is supposed to be presented, as I eat at Chipotle at least once per week. This location is by far the worst Chipotle I’ve ever visited. That’s surprising because it’s located in a very nice area, and I actually live literally 2 minutes away; but once again I need to revert back to my previous decision to never come here. I tell staff at other local Chipotles how “mean” the people are at the Donald Ross Chipotle. This is the mean, “nickel and dime” Chipotle location. The staff are downright mean and unhappy. Worse than that, the food quality and presentation are poor because company and food guidelines aren’t observed: the four hour rule is ignored, the food isn’t turned, etc. Management at this location has changed repeatedly, and managers who have come in have been consistently mean. Before I stopped coming here regularly, I observed management would look over the shoulders of lower level staff and literally tell them to put food back if too much food was dispensed; they’d measure the food by the gram they had a scale. I have photos of receipts proving I was overcharged here after arguments about the price of side items as compared with photos from many other chipotle locations. Chipotle is a happy place where staff are usually happy to make patrons happy by serving them delicious food. Most people don’t want to argue over a morsel of food. But not here: apathetic and mean staff argue with regular customers. I decided to try out the store today after a long absence from coming here. Today the meat I prefer was so dried out — it looked nothing like anything I’ve ever seen at any other Chipotle. It hadn’t been turned in several hours- it was completely dried out with no liquid in the container. It’s common sense — anyone with any small measure of intellectual honesty and intelligent can see when food is oxidized and not suitable for serving. Staff argued with me instead of trying to do a good job for me. I walked out, and naturally nobody cared that I walked out. That’s not customer service, that’s not America. Staff at this location acts like they’ve never ever been to another Chipotle location — and maybe they haven’t. And that’s bad for business if staff doesn’t know how Chipotle operations and food quality are implemented at external successful locations, which this one is not. Whoever the responsible district or regional manager is for this Chipotle needs to either be replaced or needs to step in and take control of this location by implementing new standards for food quality control and friendly customer service. If there’s a general manager, that person needs to do a better job or be replaced. It’s very disappointing that I cannot go to Chipotle in my own neighborhood. I’m not the only dissatisfied patron as this location is far from a busy location even though it has the population density to support it. It’s a gloomy placed staffed by management and lower level staff who project misery instead of smiles and happy interactions for everyone. Chipotle corporate: I hope you’re reading and I am available to discuss fine details as I’ve been a resident in the area since this location opened...
Read moreI ordered 7 quesadillas with one side online (comes with 2). $75 worth of food. Keep in mind you CANNOT order these in store. Only online. You also cannot ask for any modifications online such as putting hot salsa in a separate container because the cardboard container it comes in is flat and the hot salsa is watery. So it leaks. When I came in I asked for 2 sides of hot salsa very nicely when I was actually owed 7. The lady working at the take out area, who I came to find out later was the manager, refused to give them to me. She said I would have to wait until all the to go orders are done or stand in the line of people waiting to order in store. I’ve done this many times and have NEVER had that happen. She was so rude. I waited for a bit for her to get done with what she was doing, but she still ignored me. Then I got in line and waited. Once up there I had to plead with someone to give me 2 sides of hot salsa. This online only ordering of quesadillas is moronic and is only there to make it look like their online orders are high when there is no other option to get them. It’s no surprise it’s par for the course of south Florida help that seems to be the standard around here, but for this person to be in a management position is pathetic. How did she get that job?? She should be fired immediately. Anyone should avoid this location like the other...
Read moreOn an extremely busy Friday, I expected for lunchtime to have a relatively busy atmosphere; however, this was an incredibly optimistic expectation. I had ordered a bowl online in advance, where the wait time was an estimated 15 minutes. But, unfortunately, I ended up having to wait OVER AN HOUR to receive my meal.
As someone who has worked in food service before for over 3 years, I try to understand the position that this job can be hectic at times. But, what I witnessed today was simply unacceptable. The staff lacked organization. The main person conducting the online orders was inconsistent in her work, for she completed them completely out of order, thus causing much confusion for those picking up. With these orders being messed up, it was actually REQUIRED that you ask the workers to start making your food. Not only that, but when your food was eventually completely (1.5 hours later), many items were missing. For many of us who ordered more than one bowl, it ultimately became NECESSARY to talk the food service workers through your order, including the sides (tortillas and chips).
What felt like harassment from customers ultimately turned into an understandable reaction. 45 minutes later, no progress had been made. Needless to say, this Chipotle is not one that I'll be returning to...
