Aaron saved the stars from being zero. My order sat on the counter for at least 15 minutes, not under a heat lamp, just on the counter. When they called me the food was lukecool, I asked the female employee if the food was cold, she said no it's hot. I touched the outside of the container and that was not what hot food feels like. The employee who gets all negative stars argued the food was hot with steam coming out of it,😂 Aaron came up and told me he had cooked it hot, which I understood he did, I was watching everything as I watched my food sitting there getting cold, other customers came, some called in ahead, a couple ordered there got their food and left. Aaron offered to cook it over and explained they want the customer to enjoy the food they order, and he would make it right. Another male employee offered me something to drink, while I was waiting. Although I declined, I thought that was nice. I went and sat back in the car and got to thinking, what was I doing, I didn't want them cooking my food over, I rushed back, and said that's okay I'll take it like it is, I could reheat it... The female employee, sounded exasperated and said something to the effect of are you serious??? They said she just threw it in the trash. Read moreI had been waiting for my order for over 15 minutes. When I had went inside to talk to the cashier about my order he had went to go check on my order and had noticed that my order hadn't even been started. When I had asked for a refund from the supervisor in charge he had specified that I could not get a refund and that they could just offer me double the amount of food that I had originally purchased along with the food that they owed me. I ended up disputing this with the supervisor for over 5 to 8 minutes instead of him simply starting the refund and it caused me to not be able to eat on my lunch break and it caused me to clock in late to work. I literally had to come after work just to actually get a refund. I believe this is ridiculous and I should not have had to waste my gas a second time instead of just getting my refund the first time. I personally am ServSafe certified in California and know exactly how this manner should have been handled it was not handled in the manner that it should have been. Read moreWorst smell inside restaurant due to the fact the manager had no common sense about allowing transients who have an offensive smell to just hang out after they’re done eating. Several customers left including myself and the manager said he has to respect everyone. I get it, we should respect everyone, especially the majority of the customers that have maintained their hygiene before entering the restaurant. It’s not an easy problem to process while trying to have empathy for people but we can’t allow our society and businesses to be overrun with homeless people. We need to have respect for ourselves and draw the line somewhere before it becomes like DTLA and San Francisco. I called corporate and will follow up with the health department. I just moved from LA because of this same problem. Not going to allow it in Palm Desert if I can affect change in any way. Also, the septic smell outside the restaurant is absolutely unacceptable.
