I usually don’t leave reviews, but had to for this restaurant. Service was really BAD!! My family and I ordered to go and ended up waiting for 55 mins for 4 pizzas to come out. We started asking about it after 40 mins of waiting. They told us it would be “2 mins more”. We asked a different person after 10 mins and they brought out a receipt and told us that we just put in the order 12 min ago. I had to explain to him that the receipt he was holding said “delayed order” and that doesn’t change the fact that we put in the order 50 mins ago and have been waiting in this restaurant for that long since we ordered. We also had our receipt with the time stamp. He went to go ask about the order and came out saying to wait a bit longer. At that point, we just wanted to leave so we requested a refund. But they kept telling us the food will come out, and after about a minute of us telling them that we just want a refund they quickly brought out the food. We just took it a left, and here I am leaving this review! Pizza was okay but the service is not worth it. One more thing, while we were waiting, my father had asked for a soda refill. The man working cash register said there are “no refills”. My dad showed him the menu that says there are refills, and then the worker finally let him have a refill and told him that he’s doing it “just for him, so don’t tell anyone.” Also, the fact that we spent $100+ for this type of experience and for 4 mediocre pizzas hits different. 0/10 experience here. 5/10 pizza quality.
UPDATE: we figure out from our own receipt that it also said “delayed order 3:40”. The order was put in at 2:59pm. The tall man in a black shirt working cash register today (12/28/24) was the guy who purposely put our order in as a delayed order, which is why the other worker who helped me asked if we scheduled the order via phone. BEWARE OF THAT DUDE IN THE FRONT. He possibly might be the manager, as all the other employees were wearing blue polos. He was the same guy who “did my dad a favor” by giving him a refill for a drink that is supposed to have free refills, as well as the same guy who told us “2 more mins” after not even asking the people in the kitchen or going back there to get an update. That 2 mins became...
Read moreOur party of 6 was pleasantly surprised with this pizza joint located in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs!
Parking: Parking was tough on a Friday night as there’s only a small parking lot in front shared with other busy businesses. We ended up parking in a free garage just a couple of blocks down.
Ambiance/Service: Old-school pizza joint ambiance decorated with red/white checkered tables. At around 6pm on a Friday night, we luckily got seated immediately. A good amount of 2-6 person tables plus 2 person tables along the outside of this corner restaurant. There seemed to be a good number of servers walking around. However, we were seated somewhat in the corner and it was difficult to get any of their attention to order, ask for water refills, the bill, and boxes. Food came out pretty quickly though.
Food: We ordered 2 large pizzas ($35). I liked how you can choose 2 flavors in 1 pizza so we ended up getting to try 4 different toppings.
*Carol’s White Pizza: delicious! Ricotta cheese on top was so yummy. Our group’s favorite out of all of them.
*Delilah: a light white vegetarian pizza topped with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, bell peppers, and feta cheese. It was great to eat in between the other meaty pizzas.
*Charlie Sheen: red pizza topped with pepperoni, salami, bacon, chorizo, meatballs— super meaty pizza with great flavoring.
*Hammer and Sickle: red pizza topped with pepperoni, sweet sausage, jalapeños, lots of cilantro and mozzarella cheese. Didn’t get to try this one but my group said they liked it.
Cesar Salad ($15) dinner: large size. Perfect size for sharing amongst 6 of us while we waited for the pizzas to arrive. Properly dressed and nice flavoring.
Overall: If I’m ever back in Palm Springs and wanted to grab something easy, I’d come back to this place for dine in...
Read moreFOOD POISONING! I attempted to call the business to take it up with them directly before leaving this review….The Owner did not return my call after I called and spoke with a manager who was meant to leave a message for them to call me back. The manager did not offer an earnest apology or refund.
Around 6pm Dec 27 We walked in and ordered a take out pie and large caesar salad to eat in out hotel room at the ZOSO across the street the night before we were supposed to fly out. I will almost always eat something “simple” before a flight to hopefully avoid this potential. Sure it could have been more simple like cereal or bread but we also wanted to enjoy it on vacation. We were so sick we had to move our flight, extend our rental car and book another room at another hotel for another night to sleep it off and hydrate ourselves back to health
Large 1/2 buffalo chicken, 1/2 Italian explosion and Large caesar salad. We ate almost all of it. ...We were quite hungry after not eating anything since 9am that day.
Starting around 2 or 3 am we were both up all night with it coming out of both ends in a small hotel room.
Everything seemed fine with the food and didn’t have any questions as we were eating it. so it could have been any part of it, Undercooked chicken? Bad ricotta? Ecoli Romaine? or someone just not washing their hands?…Not sure.
But we are 100% sure it came from this food we ate bc 1) we hadn’t eaten since 9 am and the pizza/salad is all we had. And 2) when we checked into our new hotel we were talking with the front desk person about us getting food poisoning and they asked us where we ate and he said he had a guest who also ate there last night and did they same thing to extend their stay because they had gotten sick also.
Would...
