Wanted to have one more date shake before leaving the area & ending the 4th of July weekend. Looked up one near Elmer's & an Espresso Date shake sounded enticing so I made my way over. ITEM'S ORDERED: There were many options but I went with the Espresso Date Shake. TASTE: So for those who haven't been, as the name implies, this is a health food store. With that said this Espresso Date Shake I'd classify as more of a smoothie than a truly decadent milk shake. That isn't a bad thing, it's just different. It's vegan & made with soy ice cream, soy milk Fresh Espresso, Shields Crystallized Dates & Bananas. As a coffee lover I enjoyed the bitter flavor the coffee adds to the fruity (not overbearing) sweetness supplied by the dates. I also enjoyed the texture of the chewy date pieces. I'm not sure if it's because I bought this in a health store or it's because it's vegan, but I did feel "less guilty" after having this shake. Don't worry it's still pretty creamy even for not being dairy based. It's not a knock on the shake, but if you already know you don't like the flavor of soy milk that flavor is of course present here, so just FYI. SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING: You really get that local, independent shop when you enter & I like that about this place. The employee who took my order was friendly & I very much appreciated how he genuinely asked how I liked the shake & said I should come back again when in town. I saw some of the prep work other staff was doing on fresh veggies & how they made a fresh espresso shot for my shake. Good to see all that freshness. They are located right on S Sunrise Way, corner of Ramon Rd. It's a little strip mall with ample amount of parking. When you enter, all the drinks & food items can be ordered to your right. & To your left is the grocery store side. They seem to have a pretty nice selection of health products, vitamins, kombuchas, etc. Health is a major part of my life so if I was local I could definitely see myself coming here often. It has a really cool, homely vibe. I would return back here when I'm in the area. They do have a wide selection for food & drinks. & Freshness & quality seem to be important which is always good.

We love this little vegan cafe and grocery store here in Palm Springs. It’s one of our “go to” places for vegan foods and food products, and many supplements, that we can’t find in other local stores. We like that they have bulk bins, too. Their cafe has a great menu and decent prices, and the food is always delicious. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on their cafe menu, as well as smoothies, shakes, shots, and bowls. I especially like stopping here for a coffee and breakfast. We also get carry out from here fairly often. It’s one of very few places for totally vegan food in Palm Springs, and definitely one of our favorites! We will keep going back.

Great for breakfast & brunches. Very popular. Worth a visit. It’s a shop with two lines of benches and tables between refrigerators and shelves, paper plates, plastic forks, self service. Great choice of healthy food, reasonable portions. I rushed order with little thinking, ordered unfortunate ’veggie garlic noodles with curry sauce’. Veggies were delicious, noodles had a weird smell, I didn’t even finished it. The Berry bonanza shake was fantastic, deluted with water couple of times - incredibly rich, would get it again. Awesome that Palm Springs has such places.

I feel obligated to share a story about my experience at Nature's Health Food & Cafe. I hope the owner will read this message and consider action to remove the manager from the cafe. The manager refuses to share any contact information for raising my concern to the owner. I ordered (2) guacamole chicken wraps. Both wraps did not have chicken, only lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese. I called the cafe to understand my options. The manager said I would have to bring the order back so she can compensate me for the issue, and when I told her I was on back-to-back meetings and that I had a small window to pick up lunch, she said, "it is what it is". Then said she wouldn't be able to comp me for the order regardless and that the issue was with DoorDash. To be clear, the issue is not on DoorDash, the issue is on the Cafe for not properly preparing the order. I order food and purchase products at Natures Health Food & Cafe 3-4 times a week. I can not continue to support this business as long as this manager is still employed. She does not have the compassion and capacity to effectively manage both quality, accuracy, and customer relations. This is very unfortunate as I love coming...

If you are sick to the point where you must where a mask, and you are clearly struggling to keep phlegm from running onto said mask, and you are handling food, placing food/items into boxes, folding boxes, and then handing such items directly to customers, many of which are elderly - don't you think one might contaminate others? How many people are now sick leading into Thanksgiving as a result of choosing to work? How many coworkers are now potentially sick as a result of working side-by-side with an ill employee? How can, as your establishment states, "Food Be Thy Medicine" - under such conditions? And to the owners and manager on that day - why was this allowed to occur? Surely you must have noted, as others had. Will you compensate all of those individuals who lost a day today, sitting in bed, now dealing with a sickness that could've been avoided? Very unfortunate given how hard you have worked to deliver decent products and care for the health of your customer base - sadly, not this time - and, as a result, the rating reflects...
