VALENTINES DAY HORROR! What a horrible experience. 1) Had reservations for 7pm. Got to the restaurant 10 minutes early but could not be seated until 730pm. 2) took 30 minutes to get 1st drinks. 3) Had to order appetizer from a different waitress as ours was nowhere to be found. 4) Had to order 2nd drink from busboy as again, waitress was nowhere to be found. 5) watched two tables seated after us get served dinner 10-15 minutes before us (we are only two guests). 6) 830pm finally receive appetizer (beef wellington). Ordered it medium and received it boiled beyond well done. (Of note, the sauce was good). The sauce was all that made it edible. 7) its now 845pm and we still have not received dinner or 2nd drink. 8) 855pm waitress (our actual waitress) brings table bread to us (should have got it an hour earlier)and says our meal is almost ready. At this point my wife is upset and wants to leave. I ask our waitress to close out our bill and cancel the dinner and drinks we had not yet received. She sends over GM who immediately goes to the kitchen and brings out our dinner. I was hoping the food would save the night however I was sadly mistaken. 9) Finally get 2nd drink after dinner is served. 10) Wife's lobster ravioli had very little lobster flavor and the tiger prawns looked to be 31-40 sized shrimp, overcooked. (Of note, the vodka sauce was good) 11) I had ordered the seafood scampi. What I received was a virtually tasteless shrimp/scallop linguine with undercooked pasta. It was as if the cook did not drain the water from the pasta and just mixed it with the very failed scampi sauce. I could have gotten a better seafood linguine at Red Lobster! Not what you would expect from a locally owned fine dining restuarant. We will NOT be returning here nor will we recommend it to our friends, family, or coworkers. They received the lowest tip I give (12.5% out of a potential 25%) and truth be told I should have left them $1, or less than 1% of our total bill. It was that bad of an experience. I do not recommend...
Read moreThat was hands down the worst dinner experience I’ve had at a nice Italian restaurant. It took over two hours to dine for entrees for two people. It was FORTY minutes from the waitress asking for our drink order to asking for our entree order. We clearly stated multiple times no alcohol drinks, we had a sober intentional person at our table. They made the sober person an alcoholic drink⚠️, when we caught the error, the bartender came over and loudly clarified we shouldn’t say a cocktail with NO alcohol but a virgin drink. It was an insulting interaction that simply should have been a correction. The waitress, when she did ask for our entrees, she absently walked by “Can I get you anything else?” We looked with shock “Food.” She replied, “Oh, right!” I ordered the eggplant parmesan. I have never experienced this before. The eggplant was so hard it was inedible. They gave me a steak knife and I could not cut it. It made me nauseous. I showed this to the waitress that I could not cut it with the steak knife because it was so hard. She was shocked and agreed, but she hadn’t checked on us. So, by the time she discovered how inedible my food was, everyone else was finished with their meal so it did not make sense to reorder. I was embarrassed because my dinner guest said he would have given the experience 1 star and I was trying to impress. When we checked out, which we stood in the front waiting after no one checked on our table in over twenty minutes. The waitress giggled and said, “How was your experience besides your entrees and your drinks having to be remade.” We were silent as she charged us the full bill. I am so horrified. I will NEVER...
Read moreOur sister Connie lives in Palmdale, for years when we visited, we would always choose to eat at Frescos.
When our sister Connie unexpectedly passed away and we were looking for a venue to host the reception, Fresco's came to mind.
We needed the reception to start around Noon, but the restaurant doesn't open until 4pm. I called and asked if they would make an exception and open the restaurant for our private reception early? I was contacted by the most helpful and accommodating person, Erica. She said she would need to check with the owner and get back to me. Which she did within 24 hours, with a positive response.
From the day before, day of and end of the event ERICA WAS 100% AMAZING!!! Erica helped with choosing the menu, setting up the audio visual equipment for our video slideshow and ALL the little details needed when putting together such an emotional Memorial. Her even keel and helpful calm nature really helped us get through this trying time.
Day of, our family, friends and colleagues of our sister Connie entered a beautiful restaurant, superior staff and enjoyed Fresco's delicious food. Many for the first time, but ALL RAVED ON THEIR DISH and the service. The selection we decided on was, skewers of either Chicken breast, Filet Mignon or Chicken Pesto Penne Pasta. Everyone ate as if they were headed to the gas chamber!
I cannot say enough on the hospitality Erica and her staff provided us during the amazingly difficult time.
I thank you on behalf of our entire Nungaray family.
I wholeheartedly recommend Fresco's... not only for their AMAZING food but on their FAMILY HOSPITALITY shown us during a very emotional...
