Penny's has always had one of the finest selection of clothing in all of Southern California. However the quality of some products such as t-shirts and underwear I've taken a dramatic fall in quality of product. Most of this is due to these items being imported from Asia, with lesser quality of fabric. The t-shirts and socks used to be sick cotton and the finest money could buy. This is no longer true. I used to buy all of my attire for work such as three piece suits, including undergarments, dress shirts, dress pants, A-frame shirts, Sox, belts and perfume. I have bought dress shoes here as well. In other words everything I wore came from pennies right down to the cologne.
I still shop at Penney's, and enjoy their cologne perfume selection. I have also bought Emerald / diamond rings, earrings and necklaces here. Since emeralds have become more rare it is impossible to find a true Emerald here. Although I have bought several true emeralds in years past. The quality of their emeralds in the past were okay but not of the finest quality.
Staffing is usually courteous and helpful, however finding someone to help you is almost impossible these days.
Penny sells used to be a wonderful shopping experience. However I have noticed 1 pennies how they sell their very items on sale I've been marked up considerably, to a point what you buy on sale is often the same price that was before the sale.

Read moreI'm VERY disgusted with the way the photo department handled my CONFIRMED booking today 4-2-21 they cancelled my appointment 3 hrs before I was set to arrive with my family. My appointment was made ONLINE I received my confirmation email with date and time . (I thought I was all set) this was going to be my second time utilizing their servics, they did such an amazing job the first time during the Xmas holiday .. I booked my appointment online as well received my email and received a follow up email closer to the date. I did not get the same treatment this time around.. I thought since I booked online ALL communication will be done that way, so since I failed to answer a phone call from the photo department instead of them reaching out to me via email they kept calling my phone. Because I had no other arrangements I let my two year use my cell phone at the time she's very savy with the device and just ignored the call .. I Did not know my booking was cancelled untill I received an email while I was sitting at the beauty salon getting my daughter's hair done. I feel that I should have received an email asking me to confirm again instead of a phone call , I did not book my appointment through a call service.. I will not go to JC Penny in the future for my family photos.. thank you for ruining my...
Read moreI would not recommend that anyone go to this store because the experience could have been better, and customer service was incorrectly not to a standard. The store manager had no disregard for arguing to the point where her tone of voice was very offensive. I understand at times, a customer may pass the line, yet the workers at the store should remember that the job requires a professional tone at all times. The concerning thing was that the conversation led to a dispute where there was no need, as the store policy holds the manner, to prevent such things. My affair as a customer was about a coupon that was not applied and requesting to add it. After some time, the manager was called and asked again about the coupon. Please let me return everything as well. I have the right to return anything if I am unhappy. I wanted to do something other than this as the store deals were fantastic this year, but after so much back and forth, the workers were no longer patient about this ordeal. I decide to make my claim to return everything to my card. In the end, I was disappointed about how everything had transpired, even with the manager, where the job was to help with the situation, not to make it worse.
