We arrived at this establishment starving. We'd tried to go to another restaurant but it appeared to be closed without any notice 🤷🏽♀️. I'm glad or else we would've missed out from a stellar experience.
We decided to try Buddy V's Ristorante. It was a bit difficult to get to from where we parked but the journey was worth the experience. Allow me to take you on our Buddy V's ride. Let's GO!
We arrived at the hostess desk and were asked if we had reservations. We didn't and was informed there'd be about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour wait. We were also told we could eat at the bar so we proceeded to that area. The bartender was very nice and promptly took our drink and food orders. It wasn't long before a staff member came to us and said they had a table available. We quickly canceled our order at the bar and were seated.
The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the staff and their customer service is definitely top notch. Their kitchen is nestled right in the middle of the restaurant. It gave you a feeling like you were eating from Buddy's family's personal kitchen. We really enjoyed the aesthetics of this beautiful establishment. Arris came over to serve us and he was AMAZING! He took our orders promptly again and was attentive and accommodating throughout our entire visit.
Julian came over to check on us. He brightened our evening with a warm welcome, genuine gratitude for our business, a winning smile and a very charming disposition. Randy also stopped by to check on us and was interested in not only our experience there but our entire visit and stay in Vegas. Both men were sharply dressed, professional and well put together.
I ordered Nana's 7 Layer Lasagna and Cheesy Garlic Bread. My husband ordered Fettuccine add Sausage and Shrimp. They also brought a beautiful appetizer and created this olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixture, which was absolutely the best for dipping the bread.
Our orders arrived fresh, hot, accurate, appetizing and tasted divine. We both ate from each other's plates and were extremely pleased with our meals. The cheesy garlic bread was such a great accompaniment. A salad would've also been nice. However, my husband said he wasn't eating any salad on vacation. 😅🤣😂
Lastly, the staff asked what brought us in and we told them it was our wedding anniversary. They proceeded to gift us with a glass of champagne and this beautiful cake that had "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate. The cake was incredible. It was a chocolate and hazelnut confection dream. I normally don't like that combination of flavors in a dessert. However, this creation was truly "out of this world". You have to try it. It was a wonderful way to end such a beautiful meal and visit.
In conclusion, you have GOT to try this place. It's not the pretentious TV celebrity establishment you might've been to before. The view is EVERYTHING! It's welcoming, friendly, family recipes executed flawlessly, incredible customer service, excellent menu offerings and definitely worth your time and money. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Tell everyone "hello" and ENJOY!

Read moreUpdate - Sept 15, 2021 We always make it a point to visit Buddy V’s when we are in Vegas. Consistent great food and service, and this time was no different. Just 2 of us dining this time, but as year over year Buddy V’s staff and food live up to a great dining experience.
Knowing the meal sizes, split a nice Caprese salad, which they split for us into two plates, and followed with Nonna’s Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. As normal, the lasagna was delicious and gooey with cheese, and the Chicken Parm with a nice crunchy coating and side of pasta.
As always, we will make a return visit the next time for some great food and service.
Note: Buddy V staff all follow the mandated COVID regulations and felt they did a great job with keeping their customers safe and tables distanced.
Hints for your visit: They have move to a new reservation system – make sure to reservations from their restaurant home page. Update - Nov 23, 2019 Buddy V’s is a great place to find some comfort Italian food favorites, with the best being Nona’s Lasagna. Served in a piping hot cast iron dish, loaded with meat and cheese, this is an amazing dish. Also tried the Mediterranean Sea Bass entrée, the fish was prepared perfectly with a crispy skin and delicate white meat.
Overall, Buddy V’s maintains a great standard, both for service and food, and we will be visiting again.
Hints for your visit: As before, make reservations as this place is very popular.
Wow! What an amazing dinner at Buddy V’s at the Canal Shops Venetian/Palazzo in Las Vegas. Reservations on Open Table, at 6:15, and had no problems getting seated right away. Georgio arrived promptly to get drink orders and tell us the option of ordering, individual meals, 3 course meal deal, or family style created by the chef. We chose the family style, and it was definitely was the best choice of the night to get a hearty sampling of their main dishes.
Family style dinner included: 4 appetizers (Grandma’s Meatballs, Panzanella salad, Salumi/Cheese board, Calamari Fritta), 4 entrees (Beef Tenderloin/Potatoes, Roasted Sea Bass, Nonna’s Lasagna, Chicken Picatta), and Dessert platter (Cheesecake, Chocolate cake, Ice cream, Pudding filled pastry).
What a feast, plenty of food for the 4 of us, and could easily fed 6 of us! By far we loved the Meatballs, Sea Bass, and Steak, with a very close second of the Lasagna. Georgio made the dinner a fun and interesting event, and explained all the dishes so we knew the history and where the recipes may have come from. Overall a fantastic dinner and we will be coming back again!
Hints for your visit: Make reservations, this place if very busy on the weekends. For a wonderful sampling of their menu, go family style which at about $55 per person, it was well worth it. If you want a view of the strip during dinner, request a booth by the window when you make your...
Read moreNice restaurant. This was my second visit but years apart. Both times I ordered the same meal, both times the restaurant looked the same except this time it feels almost a little dated and worn. The high top chairs are banged up and missing accent pieces, the tables are a little worn and the ceiling tiles are not fitted properly. With all that said, the food was actually better this time and the server asked if there were allergies at the table at time of order placement. At the table, we ordered the $30 lunch special. I ordered the tomato soup, chicken Parmesan, and the tiramisu. Another person at the table ordered the salmon.
We started out with a piece of focaccia bread that was super, super tough. But overall, it tasted ok. I feel like the soup was better than good but not superb. In all honesty, I was feeling nostalgic as I ate it because it truly tastes like Franco American or Chef Boyardee’s canned ravioli (I know they don’t want to hear that but……). The person eating the salmon said that it was fantastic and it was juicy. The chicken Parmesan had a crispy Parmesan crust, a little sauce and melted cheese. The spaghetti was al a dente and the sauce (imo) was a bit salty. Dessert came and we had the tiramisu. It came with a lady finer cookie and the people dining with me loved them, and I felt it tasted strange. The tiramisu was well thought out, presented well and tastes good. Another comment at the table was that there was too much cocoa at the top of the dessert and I almost agree. The taste was fine but it put a heavy coat on your teeth as you ate. Overall, it was a solid experience and the food was above average and the price was unbeatable for what you got.
The service was great and maybe they tried too hard with refills. I would take a couple sips of my drink and then ask if I would want a refill, instead of brining me another cup, they would take mine away and eventually bring it back. It was totally weird because it happened many times and I was starting to look for cameras as if I was on a comedy show. My drink was off getting refilled more than it was...
