If I could give this place 0 stars I would definitely do so! The service was very inattentive and once we ordered our meals, our waiter did not even bother to check up on us. No one stopped by to see if it tastes good or if we need anything else. One of the gentleman who brought the food to the table had a really bad attitude and gave us a nasty look because we couldn't understand what dish he brought out. I am sorry, but the music was loud so we kindly asked him again what dish it was, but he rolled his eyes and walked away. We would have told him that our dishes were lukewarm and tasted extremely bland. This is unacceptable customer service! The food is mediocre at best and there are plenty other places out there. I ordered steak fajitas and the meat quality was very disappointing. It had no flavor and very chewy. Needless to say I only had a few bites. Another no go was the fact that I was charged for a double order of steak fajitas, but I only ordered a regular meal. Unfortunately, I only paid close attention to bill after we left as we just wanted to get out of the restaurant. The guacamole was bland as the rest of the food as well as the refried beans. Salt goes along way when cooking! The remaining dishes pollo asada, enchiladas Del Mar and steak picado were not to brag about either. Any little Mexican place has a better turnaround than this. If you are a group of 6 or more people don't expect any customer service as the gratitude is included and they don't bother with your table at all. What a joke on a $500+ bill. We spoke to a gentleman at the front about our bad experience, but he didn't really seem to care much so we left. The masses keep this restaurant open because it's definitely not the quality of the food neither the unprofessional customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away! This is a tourist trap for drunk tourist who have no clue how good food and...
Read moreIf you are in Las Vegas especially Aria, Javier's is a must go to for an elevated Mexican dining experience. Most of their dishes are far superior than what you will receive at any Mexican restaurants even in the Southern California region. The service you will receive is second to none. The servers and management are all very knowledgeable and capable of a fine dining experience for even the most Discerning of customers.
The reason for the four star review is not all dishes were created equal. The chile relleno is a must try because it's probably one of the best I've ever had even the sauce is amazing. Any of the carne asada combinations were absolutely outstanding. We chose to get the one on the cutting board with carnitas. Another night we had the filet mignon with prawns also outstanding. However, the pasta dish should not be on this menu. It is absolutely horrible and at that price point it shouldn't even be offered in its present state. The other reason for the four star review is that several of the dishes came out lukewarm at best. When you're paying $45 for amazing prawns in a homemade sauce it must be served hot every time.
But the star of the show is there amazing margaritas. I mean literally oh my God you cannot stop drinking them. There is such a selection and you keep ordering more because you don't have to drive home and they are literally the best. Creative pairing and making their own ingredients speaks volume about the man who created this Javier Sosa.
One last note, I talked to three different employees who have been working there for over 20 years. This alone tells me that the owner is an incredible man because it's hard to retain that kind of loyalty and respect without taking really good care of your staff. And the staff would not work so hard and so efficiently if they truly did not love their...
Read moreThis is my favorite Mexican restaurant on the Strip. We've been several times and I always enjoy it. I love the fresh made chips and the salsa (a medium as far as spicy and I could just eat it straight) to start with. I got a photo but it was already half eaten. Try to save room for more food and resist filling up on them because they're so good.
My husband got the steak and shrimp. I LOVED the steak because of the seasoning and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I wanted to eat his but I wasn't that hungry. Still, I couldn't resist a few bites.
You have to make reservations due to COVID and we'd had a big breakfast but not going then meant trying to get another reservation for a later time...and they don't answer the phone (see comment at the end of this review).
My daughter got a cheese quesadilla. It comes on a large plate with refried beans and rice. The cheese is a white cheese. Everything was hot and fresh. Very good. I like to eat the rice/beans with the chips and salsa.
We shared a virgin pina colada and it was so good that I must get it every time from now on (I don't drink and it was lunch time).
The service was prompt and friendly. Plus I absolutely love the decor and atmosphere. It's so dramatic and romantic.
I got Esquites and didn't like it. Surprisingly, because it's usually a favorite. I like a creamier version and this take wasn't what I expected. I wouldn't order it next time. It was heavy on spices (which I like but just not this blend) and lime (I also really like lime).
My only complaint is the phone kept ringing and ringing. There's music playing but it still rang out above it and was...
