Kassi Beach — Restaurant in Paradise

I was there on Apr 23rd for lunch and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It was embarrassing because I recommended this place to my friends and we came as a small group.

Let me list everything that happened:

1. My party arrives on time for our reservation at 1.15pm and are made to wait for over 20mins. While we were waiting by the bar we could see there were numerous tables that were empty.
2. We order food & drinks and we don't get served any of the drinks or any of the sides that we ordered.
3. After reminding the waitress, it took an additional 20mins to get served lemonade.
4. They messed up the drinks order - again - and missed my wife's drink altogether
5. All the lemonades all tasted inconsistent. Some were sweet and some were excessively sour.
6. The sides come out 40mins after we got done with our mains - and only after we had to remind the server that they were missing.
7. A couple sat down in the table next to ours and left after being ignored for 15mins
8. The server gave a birthday cake to the wrong table next to us and they (not the server) figured out it was meant for another table. The server didn't bother figuring that out.
9. While our server seemed to be rushing around and having a hard time keeping up with her assigned tables, there were 3 other servers just lounging around not doing anything while guests (including those on other tables were being ignored)
10. We didn't get water on the table till 30mins after we sat down, and had to ask.
11. The server promised to remove the drinks and the sides off our cheque but they messed that up too. We had to point that out.
12. We got sent a birthday cake to our table. Of course it wasn't anybody's birthday.

It was frustrating and then it became comical to see how inept and incompetent the management of this place was.

The management of this place did reach out to me after I left a review on their survey, but that doesn't change the terrible experience my friends and I had. It was far too little, too...

I’ve been here before. Delicious, Incredibly tasty, & well priced. Wednesday’s they do this amazing house music night & switch it up weekly. In addition they add drink specials & food specials.

I’ve tried the pizza in the past (amazing), the mezze platter & the Puccia bread. All WOW! This time we got the olives, eggplant dip, 2 Puccia breads, & a new pasta that was on the menu.

Now, although the pasta was delicious, I specifically inquired about any meat or cream in the pasta. Two separate employees checked & assured me there wasn’t. Let me preface before I move forward with this review that this is my honest experience & i am explaining the story the way it happened. Our bartenders/servers were incredible. They smiled, were quick to follow up to ensure we were good or if we needed anything & I believe it was an honest mistake as it was a new item on the menu.

Back to the pasta; it had meat in it. I won’t get into too much detail, & as delicious as it was, I have not eaten meat in over 5 years. I was not happy about it. Nevertheless, I recognize it was an honest mistake. The bartender had the manager come out (I did not ask for one fyi since I wasn’t upset about it). She was incredible & handled it like a pro. The only challenge I found was after handling it she asked if we wanted another Puccia bread with some fresh sauce (from the pasta) WITHOUT the meat. She went to the kitchen herself to ensure it would come out. It never made it back to the table/bar.

All in all, I live here, have friends that deejay here, & I will 100% be back as I genuinely have a great experience when I frequent this place. Even with the couple of challenges, I still had a wonderful experience.

Um wow, I was really surprised with how much we loved everything we ordered here. It's been on my list for a while, but finally made the decision to go since we were seeing a show there. First off, we made reservations, and as soon as you walk in, the decor is so warm and vibey. Our server was also very helpful in ordering for the 3 of us since we wanted to try a lot of dishes but not over order.

So here are the dishes that we demolished:

Mezze Platter - this is a MUST for a group of 3 or more, the bread/pita is baked fresh and served hot and fluffy, and it comes with 3 dips (hummus, eggplant, and burrata with honey), and a small plate of veggies.

Grilled Octopus - I just love a good octopus and they do it right here.

Rotisserie Chicken Diavola - not much of a chicken person, but server recommended, and we wanted protein. This chicken was moist and tasty, and the portion was great for sharing.

Margherita Pizza - since they have a pizza oven, we had to order one, and it did not disappoint. However, since I got the Mezze Platter with the delicious bread, I would pass on the pizza.

Mushroom Carbonara - they did this pasta right, the campanelle with the variety of mushrooms, oh and the poached egg. After the Mezze Platter, this is my next fave thing I ate here.

Tiramisu - had to get dessert, and this was maybe one of the best ones I had - it wasn't soggy (which I prefer).

All in all, it was a really great meal here, and I can easily say that I'll be coming back soon. Gotta come back for...
