My husband and I used to try different steakhouses or restaurants in general once a week until we had kids. This was one rare occasion that we got a chance to go out and eat with friends. We came here again since we loved the food so much the last time we came here. The first time we celebrated our friend's bday with four people in our party and ordered $500 worth of appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks. We were not disappointed. This time, we celebrated two birthdays, and we had five people ordering $800 of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks. We ordered oysters, yamachi, octopus, and shrimp for appetizers. We also each ordered a ribeye steak for our entree. The lobster Mac n' cheese is a must. I never ate Mac n' cheese as a kid, and I only ate it when my husband introduced it to me 26 years ago when we first got together. I am not a Mac n' cheese fan, but this side dish is definitely making me a fan. It is rich, cheesy, and filling. The asparagus and mushroom side dishes are also delicious and cooked well. Their sangria is strong, but delicious. My husband used to cook the steaks for TBones at Redrock Casino when they first opened and worked their for several years. He said this place knows how to cook a ribeye, and I got it for the first time on our second visit. Usually at steakhouses, I get seafood, mainly salmon or some type of fish. However, I decided to get the ribeye. It really was delicious, and I am not a steak person. I really only ever eat the steak my husband cooks because he knows how I like it. However, this was the first time I did not regret spending money on a piece of meat at a restaurant when I can have my husband make it for me at home. This is also the first time we have ever spent this much at a restaurant and a steakhouse. We like going to Oscar's steakhouse, but now we like this ONE. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, I would recommend One Steakhouse. The desserts-triple chocolate truffle cake, carrot cake, raspberry lemon baked alaska, and banana foster cheesecake are a must to try. Even though we were full, we tried these, and they did not disappoint. I can only share my ribeye picture and two of the desserts we had because I was too busy eating and drinking. 😜 For two people, you could spend $300 and get a decent amount of food with no regrets or disappointment assuming you know how meat should be cooked and such. If you are foodies like we are, then you can easily go overboard on ordering dishes to try. Therefore, you don't have to spend the amount we did. We split the bill among three, so it wasn't too bad. It came out to a little less than $300 per couple and the one in our party who is single. We all work hard for our money, so spending this amount on good food and to celebrate two birthdays eith good friends is blessing, especially when we lost so many due to COVID. Treat yourself and make yourself number ONE at...

Read moreWhen you go to a nice spot for dinner, you expect $$$$ for the dinner, with that, you expect 5 star service and 5 star food. This unfortunately was not the case for our visit, as we came in for my girlfriends birthday. We were looking forward to this new experience at the new revamped Virgin hotel! From the start, our server did not greet us at our table until about 20 minutes after being sat, by this time we were ready to order appetizers and drinks, server would only take our drink order and said he would be back to get the food order. By the time he got back to our table, I had already finished my first drink, where we ordered all of the food and another round of drinks. after getting our food, the server never checked on us to see how the food was tasting, how we were doing on drinks..ect. I sat with an empty cocktail twice for at least 20 minutes. I came in looking to spend a good amount here, but ultimately the server couldn't even help run up our check as he was never at our table, as it seemed he was more invested in his other tables, maybe they looked like they had more money?? Lol server seemed to only do one thing at a time, could not multi-task, would walk past our table when trying to get his attention when I had an empty drink. Besides the 2 star service, the food was great, the crispy shrimp appetizer, hands down the best! They were completely out of the Tomahawk steak, which we didn't know of until we ordered, instead went with the 32oz porterhouse, whish was beautifully cooked and delicious! Maybe it was just this server, but he definitely made it a bad first experience, it was just sad that not even the busser, food runner, management or other servers would check on us or offer another drink when we were sitting there empty. I always plan on tipping 25%, tip was adjusted to 15% even though I felt even that was high for him. Coming from the hospitality industry, i expect so much more from a restaurant like this. I would love to give this place another chance, but will not be back with...
