It pains me to rate Max’s so low because the food is actually tasty but the service is a complete miserable mess. Here’s our timeline in this restaurant: 1. Arrived and was told there would be a 20/30 minute wait for our party of seven 2. During our 25 min wait to get seated we realised the restaurant was half empty and there were tables that could accommodate us that were just never cleared 3. Finally sit down we place our order immediately: a sharing appetiser platter, 3 different sinigangs (beef, shrimp, pork), kare-kare, noodles, rice and water and ice tea 4. Another 20 minutes go by and we don’t even have water yet. I’ve only seen like 3 people working this place and another large table in front of us still hasn’t been cleared (pictured with more people waiting for it) 5. It’s been another 15 minutes and we now have drinks 6. Another 10 minutes go by and we still don’t even have our appetiser, have seen only one member of staff who informs us the delay is because the Health Department is conducting interviews in the back. A couple at another table tells us they waited for 2 hours for food. large table next to us still isn’t cleared for guests who are waiting to sit 7. We want to cancel our orders and leave but are the chefs have starting cooking our food now so we wait another 15 minutes and finally our appetiser platter comes out (we have been in the restaurant for an hour and a half) but we have never been given any cutlery so we eat most of the platter with our hands we’re so hungry 8. Shortly after (10 mins) the pork and beef sinigang arrives with rice and noodles and also an order of bulalo which is a gift from the kitchen for us. Where the heck is our shrimp sinigang and kare-kare we ordered though? (That big table next to us is finally cleaned so the other big party that’s been waiting for nearly an hour is able to sit) 9. Shrimp sinigang arrives after another 15 minutes (when the rest of us are done eating) and the kare-Kare never comes Just like the other customers we waited for our food for just shy of TWO HOURS. Regardless of what issues may or may not have been happening with the health department and the chefs the lack of waiters/waitresses was really the downfall of our experience here. Do not bother coming until Max’s has HIRED MORE STAFF!!!

We went 3 weekends in a row because we loved the food so much and we had never tried Filipino food before. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly! We noticed that most all of the customers every visit were big families enjoying large meals. It seems like a very welcoming place! We tried the whole fried chicken and it was definitely the star of the show! Some of the best we have ever had! The Kare-Kare was my least favorite item because I wasn't a fan of the peanut sauce. But this was my first time trying this flavor so I may have been expecting a more peanutty flavor that I have had in Thai food and judging unfairly. The beef Caldereta is FANTASTIC and rich! A must try along with the fried chicken! And those pork skewars! Amazing and so much yummy smoke essence! The lechon kawali sisig had great flavors but was difficult for us as it has cartilage to get through and that is something we just aren't used to but besides that, our taste buds loved the spices and sauces in it! I really enjoyed the Pancit Canton but my husband found it too salty and complained it really didn't have much meat for the price charged. It was lacking much meat at all but I still found it quite delicious! The only item that fell flat for us was the Lumpiang Shanghai. It came out stone-cold. It had been warm at some point, but they let it sit way too long. Not warm, much less hot, and even becoming mushy, we only tried one each and the others were tossed away. Oh well. We can't wait to go back and try more items as in general this place is pretty darn yummy.

If you’re craving authentic Filipino cuisine in Las Vegas, Max Restaurant is the place to be. Known for its long lines, this restaurant is a testament to the popularity and quality of its dishes. Despite the wait, which can be quite lengthy especially during peak hours, the culinary experience at Max Restaurant is undoubtedly worth it. Upon entering, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that mirrors the hospitality Filipinos are known for. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, capturing the rich flavors and comforting essence of Filipino home cooking. The lechon kawali, offers a delightful crunch with every bite, complemented by a savory dipping sauce. The sinigang, with its tangy and savory broth, provides a refreshing contrast to the other rich dishes. Despite the long wait, the efficient and friendly staff ensure that your dining experience is pleasant from start to finish. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for money. In conclusion, Max Restaurant in Las Vegas delivers an exceptional dining experience that is well worth the wait. Whether you’re a Filipino missing the flavors of home or someone eager to explore Filipino cuisine, Max Restaurant will not disappoint. Patience is key, but the reward is a meal that truly satisfies. 06-22-24

I had lunch here twice over the weekend, during my visit in Vegas with fam. The food was great! Nice and hot. We had the Garlic Rice, Fried Chicken, Kare-Kare and Egg rolls. Taste is pretty much identical to the Max’s restaurant that we have here in Glendale CA, except the Kare-Kare, my mom and her bf thought it was better; meaning they have excellent cooks/chefs. Hats off to you guys. Oh and the desserts were good as well, we’ve tried the Ube Icecream, Buko Pandan, and Halo halo.

The service.. well the first time, it was terrible. Our table was overlooked the whole time. I didnt get the server’s name but he pretty much ignored our table, nice guy though, just needs some work. But the female server, even though she wasnt our server then, she stole our attention. She reminded me of myself at my old job; so rest assured your hardwork does not go unnoticed. I believe her name is Andrea, Yeaaah I cant be wrong, I remember getting tongue twisted when I say her name facepalm lol. She’s very active; we noticed how she’s being bombarded with tasks left and right, and still strives to do her best :’) She’s serving with those gigantic trays at fast paced, while busing, and doing the cash register at the same time. Back and forth. It was that crazy since we arrived. Im like wow she’s a strong lady, very remarkable. Yesterday, our last day in Vegas :’( we decided to have lunch here again, we were lucky to have her this time around. She’s a sweet person, and polite, and very attentive; always checks up on us. We’re glad to have you. You were great! and I admire your hardwork. Much appreciated. I wish you the best! ^_^

Do I still recommend this place? Absolutely. I mean the service has its own flaws depending on the server you get, but in a matter of time im sure it can be fixed. Give it a chance, try it out. If you dont, you’ll...

This place has gone downhill. Probably under new management or they put it in the hands of a new generation of family members that are simply incompetent. Visited LV from Dec 20-Jan 8. Went to Max 3 times and drove 40 min each time during hours posted for being open. First time, they said they were closed because the health department shut them down, she was rude and smug and had a smirk on her face as if she was happy to turn away a customer. Second attempt, we decided to call first but no answer so we take the chance and they are closed during posted business hours. Third try, we got lazy and ordered their New Years takeout package online. We placed order at 9:10am for pick up at 2pm. Then we received confirmation message that it was ready for pick up at 11am at 11:08am. I tried to call because we wanted it at 2pm. No answer. I left messages on Facebook messenger, no answer. So we go to pick it up close to our desired time hoping the food is not cold. When we got there they said it was ready since 11am and the same smug and rude Filipina woman at the counter from encounter #1 fielded my questions I asked why they didn’t answer the phone she said they don’t answer the phone when they are busy. I asked why they don’t answer Facebook messenger, she said we don’t do that. I showed her the two pm confirmation, she just shrugged and handed me the food. As for the food. The quality has also gone down. Chicken was a little mealy, the lumpia tasted like the prepackaged frozen lumpia that you buy at grocery store and Crispy Pata was no edible. Advice to Max. Fire your GM if you can’t because they are a family member, just give them money but keep them away from the restaurant. Advice for customers. Go to...
