Was looking forward to coming here so much that we purchased a discounted gift certificate over a month ago in preparation for our Vegas trip. Upon arrival we were informed that we could not use our pre-paid money on a promotional special, despite there being nothing about it in the terms and conditions / fine print. We were lucky enough to be able to talk to the owner directly, who told us we had other things we could purchase instead and that honoring our gift card would be "giving away the store"... whitch really seemed to mean, "if you use your certificate on one of our $14 BOGO crepes, I'll go out of business." Despite us having $50 total we were there to spend. Look, I get it, it's not a deal he want to offer. But as of this writing he still has not updated the terms to say "can not be used with other offers." And even if he had, contacts are not retroactive. He failed to honor the terms of our purchase and preferred to turn us away instead. Whitch he did, and we got our certificate refunded, costing the store more than half a crepe.
As for the store itself, it's very beautiful with lots of yummy options. The male staff member had the personality of a depressed doorknob but the female was very friendly and professional. I'll also note that the macaroon menu amused us:
1 macaroon: $2.99 4 macaroons: $11.96 6 macaroons: $17.94
After that there's a discount but up til there it's basically just doing math for you. Down to the penny. Guess they don't want to "give away the store."
Unless you're dying for a crepe or macaroon, might want to try nearby Duck Donuts instead. They...
Read moreWe walked over 30 minutes from The Cosmopolitan just to try this place, my girlfriend was really looking forward to it. We arrived at 11:55 PM, five minutes before closing, only to have the doors shut right in front of us. When I politely asked if they could still take us, we were flatly told, “No. We open at 9:30 in the morning.”
As someone who works in food service, I was genuinely disappointed. Closing a business’s doors before posted hours end is simply unprofessional. It sends a message that the staff’s convenience comes before the guest experience.
We weren’t trying to dine in or cause anyone to stay late, we were ready to order quickly and take our items to go. There was no line, no crowd, and no reason they couldn’t show just a little empathy or flexibility. Even a kind explanation or acknowledgment of our effort would’ve gone a long way. Instead, it felt cold and dismissive.
We came to Vegas for one night and made this place part of our plans. Sadly, the customer service (or lack thereof) ruined it. If a business can’t respect its own hours or treat customers with basic decency, it doesn’t deserve our money or anyone else’s. There are too many amazing dessert spots in Vegas that do care. I suggest you find one of...
Read moreCame here with my daughter specifically to try their Dubai chocolate bar. Let me start by saying the place was very colorful and obviously specializes in macaroons. The staff was not very friendly even though we were literally the only customers. They just made us feel like a burden and that they were annoyed they even had to do their job of handing us what we ordered. That being said, we (myself, daughter, and mother) tried to remain upbeat.
We got the bar, which, to my surprise, was much smaller than most other places that sell the same product about half the size but still $40. I had really high hopes that it would be delicious. Unfortunately, this was not the case at all. The chocolate itself was very bland and the center extremely dry and large chunks of the kataifi which just overwhelmed everything and was not enjoyable at all. We literally threw half the bar away it was so disappointing. To be honest, the $5 bar at H mart is 10 times better, so save the money and hit up Chinatown! To give them some credit, the macaroons we bought were much better and decently priced when...
