My husband and I came into IHOP for dinner. It was the last place we ate before the pandemic and we had such a great experience with Jennifer that we came back tonight to show our support and eat some more delicious food. Everything was perfect again tonight as usual, except for some not so pleasant guests. Apparently, a group of 20 some teenagers on a business outing thought that the rules didn't apply to them and that the health of others, including the CHILDREN in the restaurant didn't matter to them which was obvious by the lack of masks as well. At almost 90 years of life between the two of us, my husband and I had never experienced such vile people, and wouldn't have had enough professionalism combined to handle them the way Jennifer did. She kindly explained the restrictions that prevented such a large group from dining in at least TEN TIMES. She even let them read the packet of information explaining such restrictions. Instead of cooperating for the health and safety of others, they resulted to refusing to leave, arguing the rules, and when that didn't work, the name calling and insults started until a male employee escorted them out. I was already disgusted, but to see that multiple of them have left negative reviews on her is heartbreaking. Hopefully our experience provides some clarity for those reading. IHOP you should be SO PROUD of how your staff conducted themselves. Both of them continued serving the remaining 4 or so tables as if nothing ever happened all while following the governors orders! We are all in this together. People like Jennifer are just trying to do their jobs, so be glad they are there for us to be able to dine in at all. THANK...
Read moreThis is not a usual place for me to take my family, but it seemed to have what we were looking for. In addition, we discovered that the kids eat free. Though the restaurant was far from busy, we had to wait around in the vestibule, before somebody from behind the screen took notice of us. There was also a nice wait for the food to be brought to our table. I had Fish and Chips, because I had a hankering, and the two fish fillets were perfectly OK for the frozen "drop and fry" type product, though the scraps of fries I was delivered seemed to have been left out a little too long. The two smallest kids had mac n' cheese, and a "face" pancake, so there really wasn't much to say about that. My wife had a Philly Cheese steak, which had to be sent back because the bottom was furry with mold. Very disgusting. They brought another, at which time I found out why my fries looked like the bottom of the barrel, because they had to make her some more. My older daughter's cheeseburger, she soon discovered, had a blackened, rotted piece of lettuce on it. More disgustingness, and she lost her appetite. By the way, even with the "Kids Eat Free," the bill came to $38.00 before tip. Not really the deal of the day. I'll take my family someplace nicer if I'm going to spend that kind of dough. I...
Read moreBy far the worst experience here. When we first arrived, we stood at the front for about 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. Once seated, our server seemed to always be in a rush. We were waiting for a couple people to join us and she would come back asking if we wanted to order our food while we waited. The food once we ordered came out fairly quickly as we were the only party left in the entire restaurant, however, it came out so quickly that a coworker dropped a plate of food in front of the table. We never heard a sorry from our server or was offered a way to correct the mistake. She had no idea whose food was whose, she was just putting it in the middle of the table above us and whoever’s food it was would end up grabbing it. We asked for simple things and would end up having to ask a couple times for it and some items were never brought out at all! The food that was dropped was remade, but when it was finished, our server joked about how she almost dropped the new one that was made. Being that we were the only group in the entire restaurant, I’d expect better service. Kids were supposed to eat free, however it does not look like it was removed from my...
