My husband called and made Mother’s Day reservations, the lady on the phone with him did not give him much attention, asked for his name twice and was distracted with whatever was going on the other end of the phone call, then when we arrived for our 2pm reservation time, his name wasn’t on there! It was under “unknown” and he told me he didn’t feel confident our name was on there and hope for the best?! Thankful they sat us at a table... The pastries and fruit were good, Mimosas were Flat, no bubbles from champagne, I got a salad described with “warm Brie” the Brie was COLD! and it was a sliver of it...onto the Entree, I got the Filet of Oscar, first it wasn’t filet mignon (like I was expecting since that is the steak everyone else uses, and for the price we were paying) it was a tiny sirloin of steak, maybe a teaspoon of crab and a drop of cream with it, along with burnt dry potatoes....to dessert we picked the Flourless Chocolate French toast sticks, they were like 2 Bars of chocolate, my husband picked the Peach cobbler, it was peaches drenched in cream, where was the “cobbler” part?....needless to say for a very pricey Mother’s Day lunch I was kinda expecting superb food, but I should have known better since Rory’s is a Diner but at least give us Great food for the price we Pay to have a Special Mother’s Day! My husband kept apologizing to me for having not good food on Mother’s Day! He shouldn’t have to feel like he should apologize for Rory’s food!! I was disappointed because maybe 3 weeks before our food and service was great!! So to have the experience we had on Mother’s Day was Sad...also was it really necessary for the normal kids menu on Mother’s Day to be price hiked to $15 per kid?! When it wasn’t anything different from the regular menu?! I could see if the kids menu was completely different from the normal for Mother’s Day but seriously?! Lesson...

My wife and I stopped in at Rory’s Diner for brunch before a day of thrifting, and let me tell you—this place is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to another era. The classic diner atmosphere, complete with neon lighting, vintage road signs, and touches of old-school car culture, made us feel like we’d stepped straight into the 1950s.
Finding the diner was easy thanks to clear signage—you enter a larger beautiful building and head left—but the exterior, which looks like a historic home, adds a unique charm to the experience.
Now, let’s talk food, because Rory’s didn’t just meet expectations; it blew them away! The coffee was a solid start, but the real magic arrived with the food. First up, the star of the show: the rhubarb strawberry turnover. It was everything you want in a pastry—perfectly flaky, filled with warm, sweet fruit that was a total delight. I’m honestly salivating just thinking about it.
My wife ordered the breakfast sliders, which were generously portioned and full of flavor. I went for the smothered chicken biscuit, topped with their jalapeño cream gravy, and wow—it’s a must-try. The gravy has just the right amount of kick, balanced by its incredible flavor, and the entire dish felt like comfort food at its finest. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish, but even the leftovers were heavenly.
Rory’s Diner isn’t just a place to grab a meal—it’s an experience that feeds your body and your spirit. If you’re craving soul food with a nostalgic twist, don’t miss this spot. You’ll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and maybe even a to-go box of that...
Read morePretty good diner in a cool area, serving good, no frills diner grub. We ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich with tater kegs, Belgium Waffle, Fried Pickles and a Bloody Mary. We also tried ordering one of their pecan sticky buns, which looked delicious in the display case as we walked in. We kept asking and asking for it once we were seated. After the 4th time asking for it, and well after our entrees has come out, our waitress told us they had sold out. Being a busy Saturday morning, we were seated in the side dining room, which was fine, but I just felt Ike we were kind of forgotten there, being only 1 of 2 parties seated there. It was very evident that this side dining room isn’t used very much, as it was a little dirty and boxes of supplies were on all the tables surrounding us. Felt weird and uninviting for sure. Also had to listen to all the loud commotion of the busy kitchen and the very obnoxious ringing of the bell when order was ready. Not just a single ring, but the chef repeatedly slamming the bell 10-15 times each time an order was ready. The Monte Cristo sandwich was good and very filling. The Tater Kegs though are amazing! I would go back to this place just for those alone! They are giant tater tots, filled with bacon and cheese. So crispy and flavorful! The Belgium Waffle, while good, was rather basic and kind of disappointing. There were barley any strawberries on it. The Fried Pickels were tasty. The Bloody Mary was very unexciting, basic and weak. The waitress was friendly but the service overall just seemed to be lacking. I think if it weren’t for the sticky bun experience, I would’ve felt better overall about...
