NOT your new lunch hangout! I’ve been to Bonefish Grill a few times in Boca Raton back when it was on Powerline Rd, which was never open for lunch. However, since they relocated to Uptown Boca and now have their own free standing building, they are open for lunch as the outside sign boasts (see my pictures). Therefore, I figured I’d try it out, especially since I had not dined at this new location before. Firstly, the decor and ambiance is very modern and chic in contrast to their previous location. We walked in around 11:45am and noticed that there was only 1 other table sitting down. The place was FREEZING cold, which some may or may not like. Their previous location was the same way for those who may have never been. After being seated, I noticed that the menu was exactly the same as their dinner menu, so I asked if there was any lunch menu available and there was not. Kind of a let down since their food isn’t inexpensive and I was hoping for possibly smaller lunch portions. After a few minutes, we noticed that the other table got up and left without ordering. We weren’t certain why at the time. It took our waiter about 4-5 mins to come wait on us. We were then the only ones left in the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, our food took about 45 mins to arrive at our table. We didn’t know why it took so long since we were the only ones in the place. I had ordered the Lily’s Chicken dish as it sounded quite unique and was told that many patrons consider it their favorite. The food presentation was nice and it was tasty mostly due to the goat cheese but my chicken was a bit overcooked and very much on the dry side. The green beans were cooked just right but the flavor was terribly bland. The mash potatoes on the other hand were good and I could taste small smooth potato chunks inside the mash that melted in the mouth and was quite flavorful. Overall, the dish for me was just ok. My wife ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and Pasta. She said that it was 5 star and very satisfying. During our visit, we noticed that people walking in weren’t being greeted by anyone as the host was rarely ever around. Also, our waiter was randomly getting behind the bar to serve patrons since there was no real bartender available. It’s obvious that this place has an employee shortage. During our meal, our waiter was too busy to even check in on us and we had to track him down to get the bill in order to leave. I actually wanted to try their pumpkin lava cake for dessert since it sounded quite nice but I just couldn’t afford the time since everything took so long. Unfortunately, my experience was not so great for lunch but it may be better for happy hour or dinner? Regardless, if you are looking for a quick in and out lunch place that has lunch menu items with smaller portions at a reasonable price, then this is NOT the place to...

Bonefish Grill in Glades at Boca Raton never disappoints! On my recent visit, I was delighted to see they have a new three-course menu.
The main course, as always, was exceptional. I'm truly speechless – the fish was incredible. However, the dessert that accompanied the three-course meal was phenomenal.
I'm not usually a fan of brownies, but the ones served as dessert were simply divine. They were melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and I couldn't resist them even though I intended to give them to my husband. The brownies were served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I'm so glad to have Bonefish Grill in Boca Raton, especially since Carrabba's, their sister restaurant, recently closed. I highly recommend dining here
Past review- Glad to know that I can have a small house salad as one of the sides that go with my entree. The size is decent and we loved the dressing... it's not vinegary.
10/3/23. We are regulars here and didn't know that you get rewards for dining often at Bonefish. We often gets Kelsey as our servers but failed to mentioned in my reviews. She's awesome.... checked us frequently if we needed anything. We did again their fix pre for 2 and exchanged key lime to brownie for dessert. Great decision... brownie was sooooo delicious.
Kelsey informed us of the rewards website dine-rewards.com.
6/6/23 Went back again for dinner and brought our folks with us. We had the Parmesan crusted trout and their special, orange roughy . The trout is our favorite, no matter what style, Bonefish always deliver. The roughy was outstanding. Service is always impeccable... even the manager helped out. He was filling up water and even attended to my mother in law who was using a wheelchair. You can never go wrong with Bonefish Grill. Warm fresh bread with delicious seasoned olive oil was always a great start at Bonefish.
Previous: Always our favorite fish place...weekends or not. Service is good, nice ambiance and ample parking space. On a weekday, they have great $45 dinner for two. We tried it and not disappointed , came with desserts and salad. I will not choose key lime cake next time. I prefer a pie over cake. For the fish, Rainbow trout is my favorite but you can choose any of their fish selection. They are all fresh and serving size is more than...
Read moreWe arrived at 4:30pm for dinner because we are nervous about Covid. Our server was not wearing a mask. We asked her what the policy was and she said that she was wearing her mask but took it off “a few minutes ago.” We asked her to put it on as we would be taking ours off when the food arrived. She complied. I then noticed another server with no mask and when the manager walked by (he was wearing a kerchief, not regarded as an effective mask) we asked him what the policy was.
Despite the fact that the Google Maps description states, “servers wear masks,” this was not universal. Several servers were not. He said that if the server has been vaxed, no mask was required. I asked if if he heard about the Delta variant and how it was breaking through fully vaxed people he acknowledged that but said this was current “corporate policy.” Towards the end of the meal, while having coffee, the server asked why we were not wearing masks. We didn’t appreciate her sarcasm.
Now on to the food and service: We ordered a salad and the corn chowder. It took forever to serve and the soup was room temperature as it must have been left standing for 10 minutes. We asked the server to reheat it it which she did. We took a spoonful and it was only luke-warm. We stirred it up and, once mixed, was now evenly hot. The two double lobster tails were then served. The server said she would get the butter. She returned after a few minutes with a butter dispenser with a lit candle below. Unfortunately the candle was so far below the butter dish that it had not any heating effect. We dipped our room-temperature lobster into our room-temperature butter and made the best of it.
We were offered a brownie on the house as it was my birthday. I asked if she would throw in a complimentary cup of coffee to compensate for the soup debacle. She agreed and then returned with just one coffee and sugar, which I don’t use. She asked if I wanted cream and I said yes. It then took her 5 minutes to return. By now my coffee was - you guessed it - at room temperature.
The lobster tails were good and the coffee was delicious. The service was amateurish and unacceptably slow for a 25% full dining room. We won’t be returning until Covid is conquered - if ever. Thank goodness we are...
