Wow, shocked to see that others have rated this restaurant as high as they have. My prediction is that it will either close within 2 yrs, or seriously rethink menu and operations. Dinner today was an average meal - at best - at fine dining prices… and there are too many good restaurants in Paso for them to last once more people try them, and write reviews. The service was very slow, on a Wednesday night when all the tables weren’t full, no excuse for it. Drink selection is ridiculous - because there really isn’t a drink menu… there are practically no options - very few wines by the glass and the bottle wine list is way over priced. They don’t serve anything else except coke and blood orange soda… seriously, nothing else (does warm filtered water count? I kid you not… warm water… it isn’t chilled and they don’t give you ice!). That right there is a death sentence in today’s restaurant market. Our soup was served room temperature - it was tasty - but presentation was not even as good as a Panera… and it was essentially cold! Our filet medallions were properly cooked… but again… were room temperature. The fries were hot… but very MEH… not any better than a fast food restaurant… and the presentation was horrible… seriously…. The bread was probably the best thing they served, and it was WAY OVER PRICED. We didn’t bother with dessert… they offer one choice… which means no choice… and we saw it being served next to us… again, horrible presentation and it couldn’t have been good as the people sitting next to us ordered one serving between the two of them, and they didn’t eat it. Took my husband here for his birthday and wanted it to be a great meal for him… he said it was a complete miss. Folks, try L.P.C. instead of this place until they fix their issues. The restaurant business is tough and there are many good choices out there - this place isn’t really a restaurant yet. Mediocre diner food, at fine dining prices,...
Read moreAn incredible meal from start the finish! I found this gem by way of Google Maps, and while it was hard to tell if it was worth the hype, we decided to try it out. They offer outdoor seating, which we opted for (a beautiful / comfortable wrap around porch). We started with the tomato and burrata toast, which was both mine and my friend’s favorite bite; the tomato and basil are incredibly fresh as though you’re taking a bite out of a garden; I’m not sure what type of bread it was, but it was perfectly crispy and quite flavorful, especially with the saba. The crispy potatoes were also a big hit! For an entree I had the mushroom pasta and, WOW, it was everything (and more) you’d want in a pasta dish; perfectly al dente pasta, flavorful and creamy without being too heavy, and again, you could taste the freshness of the mushrooms with every bite. We were celebrating a birthday and not only did they go above and beyond with some fresh cheese, figs and tomato chutney, but they also comped us a delectable corn cake. Our only qualm was that we were a bit rushed since their kitchen was closing; I feel strongly that if you’re going to offer an 8:15p reservation, you should allow at least 2 hours for diners to enjoy their meal - we’ll chalk this up to growing pains and hope to...
