Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Pauls Valley

I love braum's but OMG, they need new staff, they will not have the ice cream you look for, they do not understand your order and they take FOREVER. We drove thrugh the drive thru Sunday afternoon, this young white girl got our order and she just couldn't get it. I asked for butter pecan sundae, they didn't have it. So I asked "what other flavors yall have?" She said "strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, what kind are you looking for?". Lady I know those three exist anywhere wth. Then I said what is the green one (trying to say the pistacho, which couldnt remember), she said, "mint chocolate". Me: "Nevermind just give me a strawberry single dip sundae". Drove to window then I said "can I change the flavor to pistacho (remembering name lol)" she said "we dont have that one", so i was like okay strawberry is fine. Then this girl gave me a strawberry cone 😶. I was like I asked for a sundae. So manager came out after she said she was going to charge me more then manager asked what I wanted, I had to pull up and wait, and manager came out with VANILLA sundae. The name vanilla never came out my mouth, I just took it and left. Just unbelieveable how hard it was for them to get a freaking order right. And this was just mine, the girl had such a hard time understanding what an old fashing banana split was. The she would lean by the window with this dumb attitude. To me its just icecream so its fine, but OMG how stupid can you be? Needs new manager...

The store itself was very clean but the staff was kind of rude. They weren't outright jerks but it they sure as hell didn't care about how the customers felt. There is a fair amount of constant retribution from karma for this behavior though...LOL. My 89 year old Nana always goes there for her milk and eggs, regularly. She is a very intelligent, concise woman who will not be pushed aside by some "a rude child with an apron, a job title and a name tag." She often forces the staff to re-bag her groceries after forcing them to replace the items that were squished/bruised/damaged by their "complete and utter incompetence. (She) cannot believe that it is so hard for anyone to understand the idea that people expect to receive proper service! Who could be so ignorant as to not realize no one wants flattened bread, broken eggs, bruised fruit or damaged vegetables when they get home!?" To make it better she gets applauded for this speech and the rest of the customers follow suit each time she makes it. (Which is at least every other month.) Way to go...

We made an impromptu stop at the Paul’s Valley location. I do not recommend eating at this establishment. It was filthy dirty. Tables and seats hadn’t been cleaned off and the floor was absolutely disgusting. I stocked the lids for the soda cups myself because they were just laying on one of the tables and we couldn’t find any because the location for them was out. Had to use the restroom and definitely do NOT recommend going in there at all. Toilet paper everywhere, walls in the stalls were dirty, floor was gross, and I felt dirty just being in there. I can’t believe that the staff could have clean hands after using this and having to touch the door handle. Food came out within 5 minutes of my family of 6 ordering and I found it funny that the fries and tott container had “hot and fresh” because they definitely were NOT. Clean up the joint!!!!!! (I really wish that I had had my phone inside with me to take the pictures needed to justify...
