Segovia's Bakery — Restaurant in Payson

Wow. Just amazing. I only really leave reviews for places that are so far beyond my expectation that I feel the world needs to know, or so bad I feel compelled to tell people to avoid the place. This is the best bakery I've been to, and I lived in Europe for a while. Some of the breads can be a bit dry, so if that is not your thing be sure to specify. I can recommend the cream (bavarian cream?) cheese caramel sweetbread - this thing is angelic. Also the the more savory cream cheese jalepeno stuffed bread. Their tamales are also the best I've had. The empanadas in pumpkin, pineapple, and guava were all delicious, but the guava was a STANDOUT and I’ll be coming back for more!! Also got the only savory item (besides tamales) which had “jalapeño, cheese, and ham”—unfortunately every bite had an overwhelming amount of cream cheese which I ended up scraping off after a while... I probably won’t order that again, BUT I’m glad this bakery exists (the fresh baked everything smell alone rocks) and hope to return and try many of the other items here! I live in Salt Lake and was in Payson for the day and saw this shop. I went in and bought some almond cookies. They were so delicious, so I had to stop back at the bakery before I left to go home. The almond cookies were incredible and the other breads that I bought were fantastic as well. The prices are absolutely incredible!
