The store refused to let my father pick up the meal that I had ordered, even though he had both the email receipt and a screenshot of the in-app information showing that we had already paid for the meal. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was finally able to drive down myself to retrieve my order from Burger King. However, I am concerned about the store's policy and the behavior of the manager. While I was able to pick up my mobile order simply by providing my name, my father was not permitted to do so because he did not have the app. I found this to be inconsistent and unfair. After receiving my order without issue, I asked to speak to the manager to clarify the store's policy regarding order pickup. The manager informed me that it was not possible for me to pick up the order without verification, but I have never been asked for anything other than my name in the eight months that I have been visiting this location. The manager then attempted to compare the situation to airport security, which I found to be inappropriate and offensive because picking up a fast food order is a much less critical task that does not require the same level of scrutiny or verification. Read moreWorst experience ever with a fast food restaurant....On August 16,2018 I went into this establishment to have lunch as I have done often time. My card was not able to be swipe through the terminal for my purchase. At times this does happen with not only my bank card but I am sure other individuals bank cards as well. As I stated this is not my first visit to this establishment. I have been here prior in which my card did not swipe through on the terminal and the cashier and management input the bank card number in the terminal and the transaction go through. On this day however the manager refused to do so when I explained to him I have been here previous in which this has been done,, I even request to try another register this individual (the manager) or as he claimed the owner of the this franchise began to yell and tell me don't tell him what to do in his place of business when I asked why is he yelling because I was not. He began to back up saying he felt threatened. I thought this man has to be joking. He then went over and called the police on me. I am a black woman. I was there with my children my youngest who is 10yrs and my grandbaby who is 20months old and my father who is elderly. When I got into the restaurant, I went and stood at the pickup window and waited for about 5 minutes or so and noticed that people that ordered after me were getting their food so I very politely asked a young lady if she could check on my order, instead of asking me my name she accused me of not checking in at the window that you place walk-in orders. Why do I need to check in at the ordering window when I have already ordered on the mobile app? Then the manager walks up and said the same thing and said these are the rules and pointed to some sign up high above the register that I could not see. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and taking my name they doubled down stating that I needed to check in. This entire episode upset me and the 15 employees were all looking at me like I had just broken the law or something.
