Aj's Market & Ice Cream at Southtowne — Restaurant in Pensacola

If you’re in the Pensacola area, please stop by! This is the cutest little ice cream parlor/market. The owners are THE sweetest. You can tell they put their love into this place. My husband, son, grandma, and myself stopped by here on our way back Arkansas from visiting the beach- and we will definitely be back!

From the moment we parked the car and stepped out we knew we made a good decision. The shoppe is super adorable and they had some oldies playing on the radio. My grandma’s eyeballs got so big when she got her order- a big ol’ banana split (without sprinkles), I think she honestly teleported back to the ‘50s. My husband and I shared a coke float- it was sooooo good, and our son had a vanilla shake- he was so quiet. He was in love with it.

Stoped here for some ice cream. I was surprised to see they had a functional market inside with lots of sundries and such. What a nice benefit for those living nearby! Ice cream section was small part of overall market but the selection was vast! I assume the fellow in front of me was a local as he had some groceries in his hands as he ordered a very specific milkshake that the older gentleman behind the counter seemed to be very familiar making. It seemed they had many interactions before. Both the older cashier and the man behind the ice cream counter were just so friendly and pleasant. Best place for not just great ice cream but everything! There is no other place downtown or anywhere in Pensacola like AJ’s! They have everything and anything for everyone! You will be surprised at what they have! It’s like walking into a treasure chest of your favorite goodies! They always have a smile on their face and care about their customers too. They have what I call a “Dedication to Excellence” for caring about others and their customers and what their needs are so they simply care about their business.
