This location is hit or miss for me, but I continue to have bad experiences more and more often. The only reason I return is because it’s so close to home for me.
The good: the drive-thru workers are incredibly friendly and pleasant. I’ve never had a complaint in my times driving thru. the inside employees can be pleasant as well , and 60% of the time I’m satisfied with my service and the drinks.
The bad: experience #1. I placed a mobile order and came to pick it up. It wasn’t ready when I got there so I waited about 5 minutes before I was the only person waiting. The barista then told her co-worker that she was all caught up on drinks and she was taking a break. I had been standing right in front of the mobile pick up for 5+ minutes and no one bothered asking me what I was waiting for. Apparently they had made my drink incorrectly the first time and just... didn’t make it again? I received no apologies for the wait and confusion. experience #2. I ordered a cappuccino. Now it doesn’t take a coffee connoisseur to know a cappuccino is the one with a lot of foam. When I got my drink and opened the lid there wasn’t even a trace of foam. They were so busy I didn’t bother correcting them but damn, learn your drinks and how to make them! experience #3. Sat in drive they behind a woman who sent her drink back at least 3 times. It took them 10 minutes of her at the window with a huge line of cars behind her (I had a screaming 6 month old in my car) before they told her to come around to the curbside pickup spot. experience #4. Placed a curbside pickup order. Get to the store and the app tells me curbside pickup isn’t available, that I have to to in the store or the drive thru to get my order. Go to the door and it says I can’t come in (covid). The drive thru line was super long and I had a dr Appt so I couldn’t sit in that line. I called the store and the line was ‘busy.’ I called multiple times that day to ask about coming back for my drink and the line was busy ALL DAY. I never got my drink (which I already paid for.) experience #5. Placed mobile order for pickup. Went into the store (during covid, reluctantly with my infant). I ordered a grande drink. I stood there for 10 minutes when I finally went to the bar, and tried to see the name on a Venti drink that had been sitting there, when the barista gives me a nasty look since I wouldn’t physically touch the cup (in case it wasn’t mine) and asked my name. Apparently that was my drink, that was ready before I got there. These people need to pay attention to people waiting for their...
Read moreMy 25 yr. old daughter loves and wanted Starbucks. I (64 yr. old mom) have always thought it was just an intimidating, complicated way to order a cup of stronger than normal coffee. I thought the food menu was limited to breakfast muffin only. I was wrong! I want to say how impressed I was with "Ritchie" at the Starbucks on Grand Prairie today. He made me, this older customer feel welcomed with a genuine smile. He allowed it to be ok to not know how to say the order all the way correctly that everyone else knows how to do! He delivered me a cup of coffee that tasted exactly how I would like my coffee to taste and I didn't even have to rip open a sweet packet of sugar for it or stir it. I am always impressed with a business when I see the managers doing the work of the lowest paid and I saw the manager wiping the outside tables clean. This Starbucks impressed me because of.... #1 Customer service. Customer service is everything! #2 Product - coffee, banana nut bread, daughters cold brew and oatmeal all excellent! #3 Management (Briana Rhoades) interaction with customers and seen doing the tasks of the lowest paid by wiping off tables. Thank you Ritchie and...
Read moreThis Starbucks is always, always slow. I don’t know what continues to make it so drastically different from all the other area locations. It’s the most convenient by a long shot for me so when the line looks reasonable, I’ll give it a go. This time, I ordered a caramel ribbon crunch frapp for my daughter and they handed me the drink and I was a little shocked, asked why it’s filled up half way from the bottom with whip cream. He replied and said yes they put some on the bottom but that’s more than usual, got the person who made the drink, and she comes to the window and says, “sorry, it was a new whip canister and it came out really fast and was super runny, sorry.” AND THEY BOTH WALKED AWAY. So, you knew it was ridiculous, served it anyway. Got called out, did nothing. I did not pay over $5 for a drink that’s half whip cream and caramel sauce, how absurd. The line was of course slow per usual at and clearly they had no interest in fixing. Get...
